Dog won't eat this, even when mixed with meat or other items he likes. Cannot recommend this product to anyone. We also purchased Dr. Marty's dry dog food which our dog (lab/bloodhound mix) really likes, but Dr. Marty's is very, very expensive, so not sure what we'll do when we run out of it. But he even turns up his nose up when we mix this food with Dr. Marty's. This pet food does contain chunks of meat, but it has a lot of extra ingredients that our dog does not care for, so I question its content. He's picky but not that picky...cannot recommend this dog food, especially for the price.

I attempted to slowly change over to this product with my 10 month old Black Retriever, and he vomited daily. As soon as I stopped feeding him this food, the vomiting stopped. My dog is used to re-hydrated dog food, because he regularly eats another brand of the same type of food. The other brand we use doesn't have the dehydrated meat, so the dehydrated meat might be an issue for our dog. I am only guessing. I don't know why this food makes my dog vomit.

First of all, I would have given this product an extra half star beccause kudos to people who produce USA sourced and USA made dog food absolutely have my respect. HOWEVER, my two Maltese dogs do not particularly like this. At all. One, my slightly picky eater would not even come within a foot of it. Not exaggerating. The other, with a lot of coaxing and allowing them both to get really, really hungry, would eat it grudgingly. So, being human grade, I put a teeny, tiny amount on the tip of my finger to taste it. OMG! They must have dumped a massive amount of celery seeds and/or powder in the food, so much so that the tip of my tongue felt a slightly numb after tasting. And, while not a “bad,” unfresh smell, the bag reeks of celery upon every opening. I guess my dogs are not huge fans of celery. My humble suggestion to the makers of this brand is to scratch 98% of the celery. Perhaps this is why other dogs turn their nose, too. I can return the bag, which I thank them for, but I do appreciate the effort and hearts of folks who make good quality RAW dogfood. It’s just the flavor is so strong with celery, and because we can use this up by adding a spoonful at a time with something else, something to mask the celery, and it will get eaten, because I believe it is wholesome. Thank you for this.

The dehydrated food is chock full of raw meat and fruits and veggies. It takes a good 15 mins to rehydrate so it requires overnight in the fridge, at least for my dog. She would bark incessantly/impatiently while waiting for it otherwise. :)Unfortunately, she lost weight on it, even though I gave her more than I would normally. The reason, I believe, is because there's undigested carrot pieces in her stools. The pieces of veggies and fruit are pretty large and probably not easy for her to digest.

I would give this dog food at 10 if it were possible it has really helped our dog his coat his muscles and even his eye problems are better. Our dog has pug and Chihuahua so he'll always have eye issues in his old age but this is definitely helping to alleviate them I highly recommend this dog food yes it cost money but I would spend a lot of money if I had to in the hospital to help my Pooch, preventative is the way I choose to do it!

My dog is a very picky eater to the point that her current dry food would sit untouched in her bowl for days. After much researching, we came across this product and I can say that my dog is completely in love with it. I was sceptical with the dehydrated blend but one you get the hang of mixing it, it is quiet easy. It smells like people food as my son says. You can see the chunks of real food in it and I an happy to report that my dog now waits for me to put her food bowl down and she has so much more energy. Give this food a try and you won't be disappointed.

I use warm (hot from faucet) and pour it over the food. Then let it sit for 10 minutes before mixing in some of my dogs’ dry food. It’s been helping for my young corgi who has trouble with constipation. All my dogs love it, but I use it for the puppy.

I bought this because after reading some of the nutritional information on the premium dry food I was feeding my dog I was disappointed at what was missing from it and I noticed my dog started not wanting to eat the dry food I spoke with a close friend of mine who worked for a vet hospital here in Philadelphia and she suggested this and I have to admit he loves it more than his old blue buffalo although the directions say to use hot water to the food I decided to use hot broth just to give it taste it’s safe but highly recommend using a low sodium broth
