Fisher-PriceOcean Wonders Soothe & Glow Seahorse, Pink

My 3 year old received the blue version of this seahorse as a gift when she was about 4 months old. Since then, she's been very attached to it. So attached that every time her little sister would try to play with it, she'd fly off the handle. Even though the older girl has been practicing sharing, we decided to buy the pink seahorse for our younger girl so that she'd be able to take hers to bed too and carry it everywhere like her sister does. When it arrived, I was disappointed that the belly area was sewn funny. The right side looks normal, but the left side looks pregnant or something (hard to describe the malformation). If I had been giving this as a gift outside the family, I'd have immediately returned it for another. However, my younger daughter caught one look at it and fell it love, so returning it wasn't an option. Overall, I'm glad we made the purchase (deformed belly and all) because my daughter adores it. The pink is nice because it makes it easy to tell which one belongs to which girl. I just hope they come out with another color because we are expecting another baby soon and I have a feeling we'll be needing a third seahorse in the near future...Also, it's worth noting that these go through batteries quickly. Well, maybe it's just because my kids carry them around all day and use them a ton. Either way, they take 3 AA batteries each and we change them about every 2 to 4 weeks. I'm currently switching them to rechargeable batteries because I think it'll be more cost effective.

I buy one of these for all my family and friends who are expecting for the passed 10 years. I’ve bought four for my own kids and they are absolutely amazing. My second born couldn’t sleep without it for a period of time. I do wish they still vibrate, but they’re still amazing.

i recieved this toy in the mail yesterday and i think he is adorable. I have a four month old and so far she seams to really like it! as for helping her sleep, so far it hasnt helped at all. I am hoping it will later on since we have a difficult sleeper when it comes to naps and getter her to fall asleep. and the reason i bought it was because i was looking for a help self soothing toy and as i read the reviews i thought "maybe this could work for us too!" we will see... it does come with batteries and the little tummy has a nice soft feel to it! i was surprised how big his head is..its a little top heavy but still cute. my daughter likes that it lights up. I rated it 3 stars on educational becuase it is really easy to turn the music on and so i think one day when she is older it will be a good cause and effect toy. it seams to be fairly durable.. hard to tell since ive only had it for 1 day. overall i like it,, my husband thought it was kinda dorky ha but i think he's cute and if it ends up not helping her fall asleep i think it will still be a nice toy to turn on every night and nap time to help her assosiate sleep time with it.

I'm very picky when it comes to gifts for babies. I want something they won't outgrow in a month, something they can't pull apart, and something both the baby and parents will appreciate. This adorable seahorse caught my eye. When I read the reviews, I thought it was worth a try. Not only did the baby love it, but years later, the mom tells me that her toddler still sleeps with it and it travels with them where ever they go! I suggested it to a friend who was looking for baby gifts. He bought two - one for a girl and one for a boy. Again, I've heard back that the babies love them and the parents are thrilled. When I received the first one I ordered, the music seemed very loud. After finding the instruction manual online, I learned there was a switch inside to adjust the volume. It was tricky to find and to open, but once I found it, the adjustment set the volume at the perfect level. The classical tunes are beautiful and play for a really long time. This is a high quality toy from Fisher-Price, and whether given as a gift or purchased for your own little one, you'll be very happy with it!

Fell in love with the look of this Pink Seahorse immediately. It's face is very cute with rosey blush cheeks. The stomach lights up enough to provide assurance for our child without being an annoyance. The music itself was kind of disappointing. The packaging reads 8 different lullabys, but from what I've noticed, there is no pause or action taken to listen to the different songs. They play continuously back to back; I would have liked to see something like 5min lullabys that play randomly on the activation of the stomach button. There are two volumn settings, standing 10feet away I couldn't hear the low setting; however, the high setting I could easily hear over the television.I must stress how cute this toy is. My sister-in-law whom is 27 is buying one for herself to sleep with.I've only had this toy for two weeks so I can not truely vouch for the durability of the product; but I did take out the internal components that were easily accessible though the velcro backing. The internal parts slid out easily and felt very durable; reinstallation was just as easy.I strongly reccommend this product if your looking for something cute and don't find it important to be able to select the songs being played.

My little girl adore this seahorse. Very relaxing music

I bought this after hearing from other moms in 2010 that it was a "Must Have" and worked miracles for getting their babies to sleep and be soothed. I will say that it did not have that effect on my son but it is a very sweet toy. He didn't love it and even as he grew older he didn't pay much attention to it. Recently when I gave it to his new newborn brother, my son decided to take an interest in it, but even so, that lasted less than 20 minutes and he hasn't gone back to it. We also own the GloWorm and I will say that I like that this music on the Seahorse plays longer. It is very sweet music and you can hear bubbles in it (which is cute since it is a Seahorse). I think it is a great product and I can see why some kids love it, just mine wasn't as interested. I have bought this toy for other moms and their children have liked it.

This is a Christmas present for my grand daughter but I bought it as my grandson loves his!

Unsere Tochter (letzte Woche 1 Jahr alt geworden) hat jeden Abend Theater gemacht, wenn ich sie nach dem Stillen in ihr Bett gelegt habe. Ich musste min. 45Min neben ihr Sitzen, sie Streicheln, zig mal wieder hinlegen, bis sie dann eeendlich eingeschlafen ist. Durfte mich auch keine 50cm wegbewegen.Zum 1. Geburtstag bekam sie das Seepferdchen von mir. Seit dem zweiten Abend, schläft sie alleine ein. Ich lege sie ins Bett, drücke auf den Bauch des Seepferdchens und kann das Zimmer verlassen.Es sieht süß aus, die Melodien und das Wassergeblubber find ich schön und vor allem beruhigend. Auch, dass man zwischen zwei Lautstärken wählen kann ist prima. Unser Seepferdchen hat nach dem Auspacken minimal gestunken aber in der 30° Wäsche war es kein Problem.Sternabzug: Einen Stern muss ich abziehen, weil es für ein Baby/Kleinkind schwer ist, den Bauch alleine zu drücken.

Beim drücken des Bäuchchens des Seepferdchens ertönt, eher kurz, abwechselnd verschiedene GuteNacht Lieder in einer angenehmen Lautstärke und das Bäuchchen leuchtet so lange das Lied geht.Meine Tochter ist 8 monate alt und kann leider nicht das Bäuchchen des Seepferdchens selbst drücken, dass muss ich für sie tun. Aber ihr gefällt das Seepferdchen sehr gut, sie kuschelt damit. Nur leider hat das Seepferdchen Anfangs komisch gerochen, daher ein Stern weniger.
