Perfect for our boat! I keep it tied to a handle and our golden can go 5' towards the forward and 5' towards the back without us worrying about him jumping off!

Great leash for when you need to have a plain durable and reliable leash for a medium to larger dog. It was a bit longer than I expected, but it's still perfect for walks and it gives my dog a bit more room. I think the only improvement I would like on this leash is to have an extra handle in the middle for a bit more control, but there are other leashes out there with that.

This leash has been great for walking my dog! I love the extra room he gets with the 10 ft option verses most other 6 ft leashes. I'm buying a second because the naughty pup has chewed too much on the first--but it lasted 3 months of puppy chews!

Not as thick and durable-feeling as I’d like. Haven’t had anything go wrong with it yet, but I have concerns that if my 70-lb pit mix put his mind to it, he might be able to quickly chew through it or tear the threading to break free the metal clasp (which happened with a totally different nylon tether, though it was 25 feet, so he was able to get up some speed. I now use a heavy duty metal cable for his 30-foot lead and have no concerns about him breaking free).

My dog is leash reactive. I worked with a behavioral specialist and the first suggestion she had was to actually get my dog a longer leash. Thought that was nuts but... it made a huge difference. It's durable, if he runs fast and I'm holding it wrong it doesn't burn through my skin like other leashes. Nice weight to it, doesn't feel cheap at all.

Pro: my dog gets a little more freedom when hiking, without the risk of sprinting after a chipmunk/bird/slight breeze and taking me with her on her quest to set the canine landspeed record.Con: It isn’t quite long enough to get me out of the noxious gas cloud of her Purina farts.

I had a canvas lead that quickly frayed. After several months this lead is still good. I use it more to let the dog run free but have something to catch her if something happens. Good heavy product. I would make the lead narrower and change to a lighter snap. This is designed for a large dog which mine isn't.
