Raised bowl with visual guides help cat drink water comfortably!
I have two cats and they get a bit competitive about food and water. Plus, in the summer especially, they can drain their previous shallow water bowl before the end of the day. My "old" bowl was an individual creme brulee-type of ramekin and it was hard to tell at times if there was water in the bowl. Plus, one of my cats is a senior and I wanted to consider his joints. Before he was lying down while drinking or eating - causing stress as he had to scan the room for my other lurking kitty! This bowl is wonderful! The raised bowl lifts the water up about 2 inches, plus provides a much bigger basin to insure that there's plenty of water for my 2 cats to last the day. The "jellybean" design at the bottom I think helps the cats assess the bottom of the bowl, whereas the measuring marks on the side help me track water consumption. A couple days into using this and my senior cat is a convert and the other is somewhat skeptical. However, I think the benefits will become more apparent to their health as they adjust. I'm confident enough now to invest in the raised food bowl as well. I definitely recommend!

Cheerfully Meets All My Cat-Water-Bowl Criteria!
My cats have always consumed lots of water. Lots. I was looking for a bowl that didn't absorb water (as pottery can); one that wasn't metal; one that wasn't huge or too small; one that was raised so my cats didn't need to bend down so low; and one where the entire bottom didn't sit flat on the floor (which tends to pull spilled water underneath the whole surface so multiple daily cleanups are a little more involved). This bowl, with its style of two bowls secured bottom to bottom (it is all one piece), is raised to a height that is perfect for my cats, and only the lip of the bottom touches the floor. Happily, it's heavier than I imagined. The design has led to fewer cat-drinking spills. It has withstood two sturdy cats insisting each should drink first and never tipped over once. It's surface is non-porous. I don't measure water-use by partial bowlfuls, but there are measuring lines on the interior. I'm about to buy another so my cats don't have to argue over who gets to drink first. They certainly seem fond of it ... I'm not completely sure, but maybe fond enough to drink even more water. ;)To Necoichi (Cat1st), どうもありがとうございます (doumo arigatou gozaimasu). To those considering purchasing this, go for it!

So Glad To Have Found This
One of our cats passed away this year of cancer, and being not only a large cat but a very sick cat, his head and long cheek hair were hanging in the water when he was feeling at his worst. I do wish I had found this sooner. Now that we have a second cat that is ill of kidney disease, and also a large cat, I am so grateful that he won't have to strain. Our younger cat (completely fit) who is extremely small right now, also has no trouble using it.I definitely appreciate the measurements in that I will be able to keep track of water intake when that will be needed. In addition to the double tier water fountain we bought, our big cat should stay as hydrated as he needs in addition to his Kidney Diet prescription food.Washed beautifully in the top rack of the dishwasher and should last for years. Not thin or junky. We bought the food bowl (smaller but about the same height) as well so our big guy can also eat in comfort.

Cute, Clean and Weighty
I have always used some form of stainless steel bowl for water for my cat. I read somewhere that cats prefer to drink from a metal bowl (generally cooler water). However, I got tired of the rust and it was easy for me to kick and spill. So, I decided to try the ceramic (I like my ceramic mugs, so why not?). It is easy to clean, well weighted and cute as can be. Most importantly, my cat took to it immediately.

Sturdy and just plain cute
My 10 year old granddaughter pronounced this bowl to be the cutest bowl she's ever seen. I agree with her. We're having fun playing 'dolls' with my new kitten. I have one of these bowls in all three sizes and different designs--the water bowl, food dish, and a mini snack dish (because it's just so cute). I'm frugal in every other way, but went for the fun of these designs. Most importantly, the raised style impressed me, specially the curvature of the food bowl these bowls are well made and sturdy. Very, very pleased. The kitten is utilizing them well.

Prevents spillage, very happy!
I was on the search for a water bowl that would prevent spillage and condensation. My cat licks the water up the side of the bowl out of habit and it would splash on the mat below constantly, causing mold to grow underneath. The lip on this bowl prevents water splashing out. It is a little pricier than I was looking for, but it's worth it so far. It's easy to clean and I like that it is white so I can see if icky stuff is growing. Very pleased and it's cute to boot!

I believe they leak!
No obvious cracks or fissures. I put them on Plant Pads because they were leaving water stains on my stone floor. Then I resorted to small plant saucers to see if there was actual water leaking from the raised cat bowl. Thinking the cats were splashing the water out, I left one for the cats to drink from (in the saucer) and one up on a cabinet, again in the saucer. Both saucer bottoms had water in them - It is not the cats splashing. They somehow, LEAK! I purchased 3 entire sets of raised bowls - snack, food and water bowls. And they are not cheap.

Love them- helped my cat!
Love it!! Have the food bowl too. I agree, because of the lip on the water bowl, it doesn't spill when I'm carrying it to the sink! Beautifully made. Ultimately, I think the raised bowls have helped my older cat to drink and eat more- in fact, I know they have! I am thrilled each day when I can actually see the little cupcake at the bottom of her bowl! :) I would definitely purchase these again and recommend them.
