First, this is an expensive sleep mask. I've put off buying one for a few years because why would I pay that much, surely I can get the same with more "reasonably" priced masks.Out of stubborness, I've been through at least half a dozen of the most highly rated cheap masks on Amazon, which comes out to double the cost of this mask. One was pretty good but light still leaked in the bottom. It was comfortable and cheap but still not quite right. So I finally ate my pride and spent the luxury bucks on this mask.The difference is night and day, literally. The adjustible cups make it so easy to place them exactly where you need them. This allows for total blackout because you are not hampered by where the nose sits. The elastic seems a lot sturdier and is minimal compared to the cheaper masks, and that's better because I found the elastic going dead really fast requiring constant adjustment on the cheaper masks. The Manta stays put, and once I had it where I wanted it, it never slipped. It was right in the same place when I woke up. The eye cups add a little friction, but are not so rough that they irritate.The eye cups are comfortable, adjustible to negate the nose of the mask, and give total blackout. They are deep enough that my eyelashes don't rake if I open my eyes. I am a side sleeper and stomach sleeper and I didn't seem to have a problem, which was my main concern. I start out on my back and transition to stomach and it didn't wake me up. I didnt wake up with a headache or pressure from the eye cups, so it's fine for me, your milage may vary.It's only been one night of usage but Im not going back. I might even save up for the pro model. I should have just gotten this one to start and not spent more than this trying to not buy this one. I'm a fan.

I was really nervous that this was just going to be an expensive gimmick for sleep, but I had remembered the brand name from a YouTube video from years ago and was interested in trying it after enjoying a bluetooth eye mask (to listen to ASMR).This eye mask is worth EVERY penny! I've worn it every single night for the last two months and even took it with me for a weekend trip and I absolutely can't recommend it enough! It's super comfortable, adjustable, and lightweight and I think it will hold up for at least a few years of constant use if not more. My only complaint, or really finding, is that it will come off in the middle of the night sometimes but it's not a big deal because for me the key is just using it to fall asleep, and when first waking up if it's super bright outside and I want to sleep longer.

I got these today and tried them on immediately to find the right fit. (Let me set the mood: It’s 2:00 in the afternoon and sunny in a bedroom with a big SW-facing window. Shades are up.) After a minute and a half, I settled on the most comfortable positioning of eye covers. I just lay there to TRY them and I fell asleep! I’m not even a napper! I think I would have slept for an hour if my best friend hadn’t texted me to LMK she got Botox. Like I care.

For reference, I'm a 9pm-5am graveyarder.They don't breathe easy. Gonna get the bad outta the way first. They'll cling around your eyes and if you roll in your sleep they'll dig in, they wake me up pretty often. I have a broad nose and they also apply a bit more pressure than is comfy regardless of how I loosen or tighten the band, especially when I'm having sinus sensitivity and pains. There's an adaptation period for sure, and it's never 100% for me.However, you will get perfect darkness, or as close as it gets. The seal is pretty great, aside from the underside letting in mild light, it keeps things dark and the comfort issues are mild. For most I'm sure they work a lot better, so I'm not trying to deter you from buying these. They're better than most sleep masks as far as keeping light out, but as far as comfort, I stopped using mine after a week or two and went back to a plain cloth sleep mask. On a personal level I'd give this a 2/5, but for everyone that isn't living my lifestyle, it's a safe 4/5.

This has definitely upgraded my sleep at home and while traveling. The fitted eye cups seal out light without putting any pressure on your nose or eyes. You can open your eyes and see nothing but darkness. It is comfortable, and stays put when I sleep on my side, or turn. It is truly superior to the cheap blindfolds, and includes a nice mesh bag for washing.

I've been using sleep masks since I worked 3rd shift in 1999. When the elastic on my old one gave out, I searched for the perfect replacement. I was honestly skeptical about this one, but I decided to give it a try based on all the positive reviews. I'm so glad I did! It took a day or two for me to get used to how it felt when I was sleeping on my side (I'm a front, back, and side sleeper!), but I was actually surprised at how quickly I got used to it. I also wear it so that the band goes over my ears instead of behind them, and I find that more comfortable (personal preference). The eye cups are moveable, and I did need to adjust them a tiny bit, but once I got them into the proper place, the light blocking truly is 100%. I will be buying another one of these when this one needs to be replaced. Highly recommend.
