Excellent field jacket!
This Fjallraven parka is a very robust & warm coat, in 7c degrees this monster kept me warm whilst wearing just a non thermal vest and a British army ubac shirt underneath and nothing else and i was comfortably warm! I would imagine anything above 10c it would for me personally be too warm. There is no need for lots of layers because this parka is the equivalent of wearing a synthetic puffer jacket and a waterproof shell coat and then some.. more pockets than you could actually ever utilise and a voluminous hood which is adjustable and removable. The coat feels heavy when holding it up on a coat hanger but once on the weight is distributed very well and it’s amazingly comfortable and doesn’t feel heavy. Of course I didn’t pay £480 for it… I was lucky to find it on a warehouse deal for substantially less.. worth every penny though. Highly recommended kit! NB* Having worn and tested this parka now for a few weeks during an English winter… it’s not quite as warm as i originally thought, I’m still needing to wear two or three layers under this but then in my 50’s now i probably feel the cold more.. during the really cold spell in December when daytime temperatures were -5c I found wearing my 700 fill marmot down and a British army windproof smock warmer than the synthetic filled Fjallraven. Personally I think in really extreme cold you need feathers..that’s not to do this parka a disservice it’s still a fantastic bit of kit!

Fantastic.
Had this for a couple of weeks now and worn through the wettest october in 150yrs in Yorkshire.First impressions - the outer feels very soft and light. I would not have said it was going to be water proof, but it is, very. It is also very warm.As far as sizing goes lots of people mention that these are huge and to size down. I'm 6'2 and slim to moderate build (BMI 26) and large is perfect. It doesnt fit like a fashion coat does but that's not what it is. There's plenty of room for a jumper which is great (which there isnt under my Barbour parker) and it is SUPER toasty with just one base layer, jumper and coat. That said, haven't tried it in freezing weather yet. The insulated hood is great as well. Feels like being completely cocooned. The length is great, comes down to mid thigh which is what you need in cold windy wet weatherCompressibilty of the filling is nothing like down if that's important to you.Lots of pockets which makes carrying all the crap associated with two kids easy.In short, I'm very impressed with this coat. Here's hoping it lasts well. Will update if it doesn't!

Excellent all-rounder
This jacket is the perfect winter warmer. It is no wonder that it is so often top of the reviews. It is warm, waterproof, and very well made. Although not cheap, it is significantly lower priced than other brands of similar product.Would support other reviews regarding size. I bought Small and I am always a medium. This small fits perfectly.

Runs very large!
Great build and very warm, the sizing is odd tho as it fits like a large rather than medium…I have a Holubar Metro Mountain Parka which was similar in price but much higher in perceived quality.

Very well made, fantastic quality jacket
Very well made, fantastic quality jacket. I saw this advertised at Copenhagen airport and knew this was the jacket for me for the UK winters. I was advised to buy one size smaller as I usually wear size S so had to go for XS.The dimensions of the Yupik Parka confirmed from Fjällräven are:XSChest 110cmBack Length 82cmSleeve Length 67cmSChest 118cmBack Length 85cmSleeve Length 69cmThe jacket keeps you very warm but also not too hot for example when you keep it on in the train as it is fully adjustable with the multi zips. It has many different sized pockets which some in very handy including headphone clips if you use hands free kits when walking. Definitely worth the investment as this is a jacket for life.

Warm & Waterproof - outstanding
Really pleased with this coat - it is warm and waterproof - ideal for standing around watching sport on cold wet winter evenings, (which is what it was purchased for). The hood and its faux fur lining really protects the face from wind and the fit is snug enough that it removes the need for a scarf. Thoroughly recommend it for anyone considering this against other similar products.

Water Proof
Very high quality coat the material is wonderful and I cant see any UK weather getting through this thing. Out side you are kept at a normal temp but when going in shops you should be prepared to sweat or unzip the coat. Its very comfortable to wear and its size is spot on for someone thin like me. If you find the hood to big you can use the Velcro on the back which I didn't know at first.

Men’s Nuuk / Yupik parka
I bought this coat for a skiing trip to Finland in December 2021. It certainly did the trick of keeping me warm whilst out and about, including on an evening feeding reindeer in the forest (in the -10 to 20c range, although it did colder on occasion). I’m a 38 / 40 in European sizes. The medium fitted perfectly with enough space for a large sweater underneath.
