FAKROLST 66877 Insulated Steel Scissor Attic Ladder for 30 x 54-Inch Rough Openings

I’ve had my eye on getting this brand of scissor ladder for years. I ordered it once we were ready to renovate. It certainly is expensive but it doesn’t disappoint. Great quality in materials and manufacturing.Shipping was LTL and it arrived very well packed, which is good because the freight company did damage the corner of the box. Had that packaging been less, there would have been damage.Installing was easy but it is HEAVY. I installed an electric hoist to lift it up which then made it a one person job with little effort. The hoist is also handy for future lifting of things up into my attic. For a less than a couple hundred bucks, you can make the installation easy and have a handy hoist to use. Once in place. Just tighten, zip some construction screws and it it’s secure.This is the biggest one and I’m glad that I went big. The ladder itself does take up a lot of the access space when you have it down. I can barely get a 36 gallon storage bin through it. These some bouncing and banging and squeezing with that size. I have to really angle and guide it up. The 18 gallon bins go in quick and easily and that’s about what I would consider the largest that I would routinely use with this opening.I certainly am glad that I got this brand, model and size. It’s expensive but I know that it’ll last a lifetime and the ease of use makes it a great product in my opinion.
