LA Active Grip Socks - Yoga Pilates Barre Ballet Non Slip Non Skid Maternity with Grippers

I bought these for Barre classes that I just started, so i don't have much experience with grip socks. The socks are made of nice, thick material, they're comfortable, don't slide off my feet and the colors are nice - however, after one wash (with socks turned inside-out) they provided almost no grip on my carpeted barre class floor. Also, the grip-areas on the sock are very small (as seen in the product images) however, I didn't realize that larger grip "pieces" are better for Barre/yoga. If you need these for just lounging around the house, then they are probably okay. I also bought Tavi Noir brand grip socks, and those have held up much better through washings and I will be purchasing more of these socks.

I purchased for Barre classes and found these socks to be slippery compared the PB socks - I couldn’t even hold a plank without loosing my grip. I had also thought based on the picture I’d receive 2 pairs of socks, so when one showed up, I realized I hadn’t read the fine print. I am disappointed in these socks and have some concerns about returning them since I have worn them and don’t want to be out $15 (which is the same price as the socks in my studio). Never again.

I don't do yoga much, but I wear clogs (Dansko or Sanita) in my nursing job, but hate the way my narrow feet slide around in. One day I got the bright idea to put on some of those dashing and fashionable hospital socks with rubber soles, and my shoes felt so much better, thus my search began for socks with the same functionality that didn't look like hospital socks. These feel great, don't slip down on my heel, and I love all four colors.

I bought these for my elderly mother because she has slipped and fallen more than anyone should in a lifetime. The socks really grip the floor! The non-skid dots on the bottom are thick and grippy. The socks fit her feet well, and the tab on the heal helps her pull them on easily. The colors are bright and the weave seems even and well done. They are holding up after washing, and we make sure never to put them in the dryer. We just clip them to a coat hanger with a clothespin and hang it over the shower bar to dry.

I've recently started doing my exercise videos without sneakers. Barefoot was too uncomfortable, and normal socks slid around too much on tile. These are perfect. I get the freedom of bare feet with extra stability. I've worn these on tile and a yoga mat and don't have any issues with slipping. I typically wear 9.5 - 10 shoes and these fit well for me but I think and larger than a 10.5 shoe and these might be too small.

LA Active.. Back at it again with the great socks! I'm not one to get excited about socks but these.... they are like a 5 star hotel for my feet! They give my feet the comfort they desire and the grip they require! The new style is nice and warm for the winter months. I even got a compliment at my yoga class. Strangers complimenting my socks... Weird but can't say I blame them! My feet pop in these bad boys! Not in a foot fetish way but you see what I'm saying.Would I buy them again? Is the Pope Catholic... YES.

The only reason I did not give these socks 5 stars is because I felt there were times during Pilates Barre and Yoga that I needed to remove the socks because the socks were slipping on my feet. I wish I could have figured out a way to give them 4.5 stars. For standing poses only, they are great. I felt the socks did not work for my down dog pose, so I removed them. I have washed them and let them line dry and I have washed them and dried them in a low heat dryer setting. I did not order the Barre socks from LA Active with the strap because I was afraid the strap would bother me. After trying just the slip on grip socks, I may need to order socks with the strap to compare. This brand was recommended to me and I am happy with the quality of my purchase.

I absolutely love these socks! I don't use these for sport but rather for lounging at home. They're very comfy and surprisingly keep my feet temperate/sweat free. I usually have issues with wearing socks to bed and need to toss them off in middle of my sleep because they overheat. I've actually been able to wear one pair of these all week without any issues with odor - you're definitely getting a bang for your buck.While the grip doesn't allow you to slide across your hardwood floors AC Slater style (any Saved by the Bell fans here?!) , they do afford you the freedom to walk at the pace you need without fearing a slip, especially up hard wood stairs. Probably great for the elderly and kids who like to run around at home.
