Khadi Natural Herbal Organic Shikakai Powder, 150g, Multi

Works very well for my curls after I decided to go off shampoo. I mix with reetha powder and leave the paste on my oiled hair for 5 minutes. It is very drying so my next step is to apply conditioner while the paste is still on my hair and apply water and detangle slowly. Then I rinse everything of while scrubbing my scalp with shampoo brush or my fingertips. This way my hair doesn't feel very dry. I then use a leave in conditioner on my clean wet hair and comb through and style it in the shower itself so that hair stays moisturized for up to 3 days till the next wash. I have 3b curls and I am using this for a year now with much less hair fall.

Just received and used it. It's not pure shikakai powder u get in this. I have used the actual shikakai after soaking in water but that works . This doesn't! It more like mixing henna ,I am not expecting this powder to lather like shampoo but I know that it has a little lather to it. Plz don't waste your money buying this product. I thought this was a good brand.

Product was damaged - powder packet had a hole and powder had leaked into the tin. When I opened it, it burst open into my face and caused a sneezing fit!It’s also not very effective in removing oil from hair - I end up having to shampoo afterwards which is quite pointless!

No doubt this is good, pure shikakai, but highly drying to the hair. Mine become like straw when I use this :(
