The Mann Lake strainer has a deeper bowl shape fine strainer that has more capacity than the flat bottom ...
This is not a Mann Lake strainer. This is a Chinese copy and not very well done. The Mann Lake strainer has a deeper bowl shape fine strainer that has more capacity than the flat bottom strainer. I guess you get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

LOVE this new piece of beekeeping equipment
LOVE this new piece of beekeeping equipment! A duel strainer with an adjustable handle. After our last attempt at harvesting & straining honey WITHOUT this sieve, I am thrilled to report that this one makes a difference! The lower screen is a bit more refined, which allows the honey to be finely filtered, after passing thru the upper screen, catching out little bits of honeycomb and other impurities. The adjustable handles hold the strainer steady over a recieving bucket, and allow both hands to be free to hold the heavy pail of honey, while pouring. It's amazing how easy a job can be with the right tools!

Not a Mann Lake, Not the advertised dimension, Not the advertised product
This is advertised as a Mann Lake double sieve, but it is NOT! It is not 10 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep, it is 9 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches tall. It does NOT have Mann Lake imprinted on it like the picture in the ad. The Mann Lake brand is a premium brand with larger dimensions for better filtering efficiency. This is a chinese rip off, they work but aren't what is being advertised. I will be reporting this seller to Amazon.

Highly Recommended!
This is the best thing I’ve purchased when it comes to honey extraction. We have four hives so everything is done by hand (not commercially). Our first attempt included pantyhose and a lot of swear words in the HOURS it took us to “clean” the honey. The following year I got this, set it on a 5 gallon (food grade) bucket and let the honey flow through it from the extractor into the bucket. Also used it after extraction to let the excess honey run out of the wax cappings.

As advertised!
Works as I had hoped. Cleaning is a bit difficult but that's the nature of bees wax. Used 3 times now. Big task was when I filtered honey from a feral colony rescued from a rotted tree - filtered the wood bits far better than expected! Darn near perfect after second time. Does a really great job with comb from frames.
