Classic N64 Controller, Rerto N64 Gaming Remote Gamepad Joystick for N64 Console Video Game System ( Yellow and Blue)

Recently found my old N64 when I was moving. Had to buy a new controller. Saw this and was amazed how well it works. It's like someone went back in time and went to a toy's r us and bought this controller.

The controller itself works fine. The buttons are a bit stiff, but it's pretty much on par with a first party n64 controller. The big issue is with the controller cable and memory card slot on the back. Plugging the controller into the console feels awkwardly difficult, as if the cable is slightly too big to fit the outlet on the console. It works, but it's a bit concerning. The memory card slot on the other hand is just awful. I put my memory card into the controller, but i haven't been able to get it back out. All in all, the controller works fine and feels just as comfortable as an official one, so if you need a quick and cheap replacement then this will suffice. Just don't put a memory card in it.

I used this controller to set it up to my PC. Then I used it to test out a few N64 games. This happened for maybe two days. The controller seemed fine.A couple months later, I decide to play a couple N64 games again, but noticed something was off (I would duck instead of walk or have an issue running in game)Realized that the d-pad is now off-centered.In total, I haven't even used the controller for a full 24 hours, and the d-pad will not operate the way it should. I believe the same thing is happening with the joystick.

Love this controller 99%. The 1% I discovered after taking it apart to replace the A button pad (the thing that activated your A press). I found that it sticks very easily to where it doesn’t work while stuck down. After opening up the controller, the rubber pad had a tear in it (not caused by me, as I’m a technician who fixes more than just controllers). Hence the 4 star Durability and overall review.

Buttons feel EXTREMELY crisp and sharp!! They make the OEM buttons feel mushy! Overall- I’m very happy with the value of this controller. I’m going to buy these and just swap the insides into my OEM controller shells.
