EcoPure EPUSW Universal Strap Wrench, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

This thing is great to have in the kitchen for those really big lids on things. It is easy to use and man that lid come off with the slightest little twist. When I ordered it I didn't know if it would be any good to use, but to my surprise this is a wonderful thing to have to get off really big lids that are hard for anyone to twist off. Since my hands are old this thing is a god send to have just for those rare times I have to remove a huge lid of something. I also like that it didn't cost too much. I don't need to use it very often but now with my other lid removers there is no big or small lid I can't easily remove (or put back on) with these devices.

I have a 15 year old faucet that needed a new diverter valve, but I couldn't get the faucet's neck to unscrew. Can't use regular pliers without scratching the metal. This worked great - once I figured out how to use it. The instruction could have been better. (There are plastic "teeth" on one side of the handle and one part of the neck. You need to make sure that wrench is facing in the right direction - up or down - so that these teeth catch on the strap as you twist. That's what gives it the traction. But it wasn't that clear and took me a couple of tries to figure this out.) But once I new how to use it, it got the job done easily and quickly. Definitely a handy tool to have around the house.

This would be great for larger items but does not work well on small items. The rubber strap slipped on my smaller oil filter, but spraying it with adhesive solved the problem.

My EcoPure has a smooth reservoir. No ridges. This strap wrench would not grip. it just slipped as I tried to turn the wrench. The wrench appears to be very sturdy and high quality. Just didn't work for my application.

No issues with this tool, at all. As another reviewer noted, don’t let this product defeat you. I used it on all four filter housings on my Watts Premier RO system. On my system, the housings have raised channels that I was able to put the “claw” part of the tool into for leverage, and that helped a lot. It worked better than the Watts plastic wrench that broke the last time I used it, and that was my 2nd one, so I thought I’d try something different instead. I think I got a tighter close on the housings using this tool, too. For the price, I couldn’t beat it. If you’re using it on water filter housings, yes, it will slip if yours doesn’t have channels or grooves you can push against. But if yours do, it should work for you.

Handle broke the very first time I used it. Not much else to say, weak plastic, broke quickly.

This is one of the better built wrenches that actually works. The strap is very strong and can be compared to a serpentine belt. Plastic seems stronger too with great grip support. Never hurts my hand like so many other cheesy ones. This will fit anything from a soda can size to a bowling ball size. I used it on a spa motor pump with ease, my oil filters, jars, and even a balancer. You won't be throwing this tool across the room. It takes the anger out of everything and makes it like sunshine....

*For casing around whole home water filter, and zero turn mower*I almost didn't get this after reading one review/answer saying it was rubber. The handle is plastic, but heavy duty, like a snow shovel or other tool handle. The strap is made from like an automotive belt, I wouldn't call it rubber or plastic > vinyl? Anyway, feed the belt through the only slot to make a loop. Right side up to tighten, upside-down to loosen. Worked perfectly on my homes water filter & on the filter for my Columbia Riding lawnmower.

As much as I love Amazon, it can be a pain sorting through the torrent of cheap Chinese crap that floods my search results. During my search, I swear I saw at least 5 strap wrenches that looked identical to each other, but had wildly different prices and names.This product is a good reminder that not only is China capable of making proper quality goods, but they can often be found for less than their poor-quality equivalents.Awesome product.

Very good value. Used to open water filter at a restaurant and worked amazing. Great for when cannot unscrew by hand.

Primary use was to use with pool equipment fittings. The new chlorinator has a large top which unscrews in order to reload it with chlorine pucks and is still very stiff. Some of the other pipe fittings are difficult to undo or tighten and this tool is exactly what is required for those applications without damaging them. It does both jobs quite effectively. The strap does slip a bit so a firm grasp is needed, otherwise it would be a five star tool.

Works well to tighten very large things that you don’t want to leave marks from a chain vise on. So far it’s held up to the minimal use it’s endured. Electrical conduit, couplings and connectors up to 5” so far.

Not a good product at all, strap does not stay put while you are trying to use it.
