The Joshua Tree

Just got this yesterday, and must say was thoroughly impressed... Firstly, the box is absolutely gorgeous and sturdy.... This Set will last a long time.... Secondly, I very much enjoyed the book of photographs by the Edge... Any TRUE U2 fan would like to see what was important to a group we all love, and what better way than through the lens of a camera.... Thirdly Four CD's of Material... Yes some was already released, but it is a rerelease of one of the quintessential albums of the 80's and of Rock.... and the new material is good, too...

Obviously this is for the serious U2 fan or at least the serious Joshua Tree fan. The box is a nice bookshelf piece. This black & white pictures were a great flashback but not a reason to buy the set. The live concert is probably my favorite disc but the b-sides is also excellent on a single disc. Remixes are mixed and have never been my favorite. Enjoy!

What an INCREDIBLE package! Was a little confused at first because the box set is LP size and I thought that I had made a mistake on my order. I was pleased to find out that it was, indeed the CD version. The CDs, the book of photos by The Edge......breathtaking. This amazing album absolutely stands the test of time. Sounds as fresh and vibrant as it did 30 years ago!

Upon its release "The Joshua Tree" catapulted U2 into the upper echelon of rock music, a position they continue hold thirty years hence. This Super Deluxe edition is a must, not only for any U2 fan, but fans of truly great music. Looking forward to seeing the album performed live in its entirety on their latest tour.

Quite a compilation of material. if you are a diehard U2 fan then you should love this. It's fun to listen to remixed versions of songs off of the album that made me a fan, none other than The Joshua Tree. And the live disc will make the hair stand up on your arms!

U2 packaged this one nicely following off the poor packaging of past sets. The music is great and book is okay. Could have used a bit more reading material for the popularity of this one back in the 80s. I just felt that after releasing a box set a few years back, that this new version lacked a little luster. Yes, a live set was included but one could have had this for $20. U2 needs to step up their creativity for this box sets with a little more bang for the buck. Classic album and nicely packaged.

Love the concert disc. I just keep playing and playing it. And great pictures included.
