Really happy with this purchase. It comes ready to use out of the package and holds sharpness really well.Quite ergonomic and durable. The tip is really fine and with some skills can be used for detailing too.If I would know before I could just get this one right the way instead trying other brands to try as a beginner.

As a beginner, I’ve been trying to learn carving/whittling via trial by fire, toughing it out and trial n’ error, the old fashioned way. I’ve made great prog, but found myself having sore hands before even approaching detail work on pieces as small as a gnome or a spoon.I decided to grab a Sloyd for roughing, and it has already changed the game. The amount of wood I can remove with minimal effort is a thing of beauty. This Flexcut specifically came ungodly sharp out of the box, fit in it’s sheath perfectly, and has thus far served me well.I appreciate the thickness of the steel for being stout, but not overly so. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t fear putting some muscle into a cut, and it’s thin enough that I (size 3xl hands) can easily pushcut detail aswell.Just an all around fantastic purchase, and was worth every penny.

This knife will help me complete a special carving project in shorter time. It's the sharpest tool I own. Really pleased to have it.

The knife is amazing out of the package! The one star deduction is because the product photos are inaccurate. The included sheath was a standard belt dangler and not the utility metal clip model (KN06).The handle finish feels great in hand, and doesn't need any modifications before use. The blade is scary sharp with no burr at all and a near mirror finish.Edit: A little over a month and the bolster separated from the knife during use. I'm dropping this from 4 to 1 star. I can't trust a knife that's literally falling apart.I'll repair this one, but can't recommend this product and will not be buying another.

Great working knife. Comes sharp, and it's easy to keep it that way.

Thought i would purchase on amazon for a discount from the website but it arrived broken and amazon refused to return or replace. Its too bad its the right size and looked to be sharp before being split at the edge
