Romantic Country: The Third Tale: A Fantasy Coloring Book Paperback – 2 May 2017

This is another beautifully presented book by Japanese artist Eriy, the third in the romantic country series and I was so excited to receive it! Like the previous two it is filled with pictures of the charming make believe land of Cocot, with its quaint town and beautiful countryside.What really jumps out to me in this book is the variety of images, with castles, lakes shops, gardens and nature. Sweet animals such as Joset the duck and cats are on many pages as well as deer, dogs and lambs – all very cute. This book has new exotic feel with new islands and shops selling fabrics, spice and lamps. I like the seasonal pictures of Christmas, birthdays, sunshine and snow.For me, once again, the magical pages are my favourite. Chapter 5 is devoted to the secret forest where fairies, mermaids, dragons, witches and elves fill the pages. I love these! They are so appealing and enchanting that I would love a whole book of these. I love Johanna Basford’s Enchanted forest, and this takes the magic a step further. I also love the storybook feel. I adore bringing these pages to life with colour, it is escapist and so relaxing.This book has smooth creamy white paper (similar to magical jungle in quality I think). I use gel pens for details and had no bleed through, although I mainly use coloured pencils. Check out the” flip through” on You Tube to see each page before buying. Pinterest has some amazing artwork from this book (a lot by amateurs and hobbyists like me). If you think this book may be too child-like you will probably change your mind! Fans of Cocot will delight in this new addition to the series.

I enjoy the scenes in the book, they're versatile. From architecture to more 'green' pictures. The style is also really peculiar and it's a nice story :)

I wasn't sure whether to get this book as I wasn't too thrilled with the paper quality of the other two books in this series. I went ahead though and was not disappointed. I found the paper much smoother in this book which meant the Kuretake Zig brush pens that I use glided onto the paper effortlessly. They didn't bleed to the other side either which was a bonus. I hope many more books are added to this series. Brilliant!

What can I say, yet another in this series of gorgeous books by Eriy. If you like the first 2 books, you will love this too! The pictures give such a warm fuzzy feeling, can't explain it but these books take me back to childhood when life was less chaotic, and as a child, you had not a care in the world. These books will absorb you and don't blame me if you lose half a day or more when you thought it was only half an hour colouring, lol.

Beautiful drawings. While I've given both of the other books 5 stars I have only given this 3 because while it is still good quality paper it is not as good as the previous books. The play scene at the back of the book was suppose to be card the same as the previous books, yet, despite it actually saying it's card on the front of the book & in the instructions it is the same paper as the rest of the book.

Can't say enough about these colouring books. I'm on many facebook colouring pages and saw how popular these books were and didn't understand the fascination untill I recieved them. Such cute easy to colour enjoyable books pics included are some I've completed from all 3 books and 1 I'm currently doing
