Never Lie

I am obsessed with Freida McFadden books. Favorite, absolute favorite Freida book. I never wanted it to end. Her style of writing and how she comes up with twists is amazing.

(4.5 ⭐️)This was a first by this author for me and it will absolutely not be the last. Things progressed quickly and you honestly stay guessing about possible twists until the very last page, or at least I did. Every time I thought I might have it figured out, I was hit with a little bit of information that had me shook about what was to come. I literally was guessing until the end and was wrong about all but one of my guesses, and I ain’t even mad at that. It’s that well done! I found myself laying my kindle down just to stare at my imaginary audience and exclaim about how I couldn’t believe what was happening. The progress of the story flows so well, it’s like as soon as you get those first chapters in (which are written on the shorter side) you’re hooked and not wanting it to end. I held off reading the last 20% just because I didn’t want it to end! Freida has herself a new fan and I simply cannot recommend this book enough for fans of psychological thrillers/mysteries.

This was an easy read but also has plenty of detail to keep you reading! I really enjoyed the slowness and intrigue of this book.

I had asked for recommendations of good mystery authors and I had been recommended Freida McFadden many times. This is the first book I read by her and if this is how all of her books are written, I'm not sure I will be reading anymore. The story started off extremely slow and didn't really pick up until I was about 75% of the way through the book. There were massive twists and turns at the end that left me with whiplash. I found most of the beginning of the book extremely unbelievable but once you got to the end, it made a little more sense. Even still, the story ended in a very uncomfortable way and honestly, the whole thing just seemed so strange. I know Freida McFadden has quite a few fans out there so I'm probably not winning any brownie points with them, but this book just wasn't for me.

This was a real page Turner. I enjoyed every single moment and each time I thought I had the culprit it changed. I recommend this read. As with all of her books. She is an engaging and talented writer.

I thought I had this book figured out half way through reading. I was so wrong! Loved the plot twist! Another fabulous book by McFadden!

THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK OF FRIEDA'S THAT I HAVE READ...MY FIRST BEING THE HOUSEMAID. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK! IT WAS A REALLY QUICK READ. I READ IT FROM BEGINNING TO END ONLY PAUSING TO GET A BITE TO EAT. VERY EASY READ. I FOUND IT INCREDIBLY EASY TO GET LOST IN THE BOOK FROM THE BEGINNING.

This book was good. I thought one thing in the beginning and it turned out to be false. The ending was good.
