I just completed another toy chest and these work well
I have purchased between12 and 14 of these for use on custom toy boxes and they work well. It does take a little to get the installation done correctly the first time but once you figure out the correct position it is easy to make additional installations and they work well to prevent little hands from getting pinched in a closing cover. I made a fixture out of 1/4" plywood to make locating the bracket easier because the instructions were not easy for me to determine the mounting location. This fixture only works if the wood frame is 3/4" thick

Save your fingers and your furniture!
This is is fairly easy to install, and had very detailed instructions. When installed, the hinge moves nice and slow, with very little wobble. I installed mine on a fairly heavy lid, and it works great. A small criticism: the instructions were printed in very small and very light print which I found difficult to read.

Great product, typical Chinese poor instructions
I was a cabinet builder/finish carpenter for 40 years and these would be very hard for a layman to install IMO. Tiny half page color instruction atleast had English but could be so much easier with better instructions. Installed the second unit in just a few minutes after deciphering the jiberous. What is it with business these days? I buy a $2000 tv and get no-words pictoral 1 page instructions on one sheet of paper...just not right.BTW, works great!!!!!!!
