Mailer is thick--would not go thru inkjet printer; not even a close call. We ship 5-8 pounds of workbooks in the boxes Very sturdy. We switched to this box last year and save $$$. Box is as good as the one we used for 20+ years and half the price!

Q: Will 8 1/2" x 11" papers fit in the 12" x 9" x 2" box? The inside dimensions are cutting it close.

I have not purchased this box, but have purchased the smaller size. You have ½ inch to spare, so I would say yes. These are very sturdy boxes, fit for mailing.

Q: How much does the 13x10x2 box weight? Just curious for 1 single box

No, the 6x4x3 will not fit a baseball cap. You will need a 6x6x6 or larger box.
