boils water fast with virtually no noise at all. Amazingly fast and almost silent!
WOW! I buy a lot on Amazon but I don't leave a lot of reviews. This product however, is such an incredible value, and is so very very excellent that I feel obligated to take the time to explain why it is so very very VERY good.I was traveling last week and I needed a teapot in my hotel room, and I went to Walmart and bought a "Chessman" all metal teapot for around $27 plus tax. To my surprise I discovered that it heated water faster than any other teapot I have ever owned, but more important it was nearly silent. (In the past year I have purchased three glass teapots on Amazon, one for around $25 and two more for around $50, and they are all acceptable but when boiling water they make a very loud noise like a rushing waterfall. It is hard to hear the TV or music when it is operating. Just now I boiled three full pots of water in this new Chefman glass teapot. I was absolutely stunned to discover that it makes NO NOISE AT ALL. All you hear is the "click" when it is finished boiling the water. And my subjective view is that it boils at least twice as fast as the previous three glass teapots I had purchased on Amazon. What's more, this Chefman glass teapot only costs around $23 (as of April 11, 2025 with a 15% Amazon discount). Apparently this is a well known brand and has a reputation for fast boiling times. But no review mentioned the noise level. I think it is a very big deal, and if you want to boil. water this is your choice. If you have ever heard a teapot making a noise when operating, you will be amazed the first time you use this teapot. I cannot give it a high enough rating. - followup after one week - it has started making a small amount of noise when boiling - but orders of magnitude less than the other glass teapot I've owned.. I am ordering another one today. a really good product. Hmmm, a further follow up - I just discovered that if you boil white distilled vinegar in your teapot it significantly reduces the noise a teapot makes when water is boiling. I haven't quantified it yet, but objectively it is 1/4th as loud after boiling vinegar. This Chefman is still quieter, but the difference is not as great as I originally thought. The Chefman remains a tremendous value - it is 1/2 the price of some other brands and boils much faster and starts of nearly silently. And now I know I can maintain the sounds of silence with vinegar.

Great buy
So far working extremely well, good quality for cost. Boils faster than our previous model, went from slightly cold water filter water to warm in 1 min 30sec for 1.8L tap/filtered water. Visible low boil about 3 min 30, rolling boil at 7mins, strong enough Boil to trip the sensor around 7min 45 which would be an overflowing pot on the stove, but well contained with lid. The viewing area can get slightly hot but in a you touch it, feel it's hot, and pull away without a burn level. And it's actually fun to watch... a watched pot definitely boils and the water and sound in combination with the light is oddly entertaining/soothing. Also big plus the light is only on when it's boiling so no annoying night glow.Great purchase now just to see if it will last a decade plus like it's predecessor.

Ease, Simple, BrilliantlyFunctional-- this kettle rocks!
This is a great kettle for boiling water. Being glass, you can see the action and be prepared to respond when the kettle is ready, and the glass clarity allows you to see how much water you're putting in and if it's adequate. I used a Cuisinart stainless steel kettle for years, and while solid quality that never failed, I wanted to be able to see how much water I filled it with. 16 ou. for a 6 ou. cup of tea is absurd, but very much an event in my daily life until after several years of use, I could judge the approximate amount by the kettle's weight in my hand. But bravo! those days are gone! Not important, but it looks cool on the counter instead of old fashioned, is a breeze to use and clean and functions perfectly! I chose this model specifically because he lid comes all the way off, allowing ease of cleaning. If you want an easy kettle to use, and to see how much water you've set boil, try this kettle and I am betting, you won't regret it.

My Favorite Kettle So Far
I love this kettle! It heats up fast like it’s supposed to. It’s the perfect size. I like that it has a filter on the spout. The bonus for me was that the LID SNAPS ON. There’s no way the lid can break. (Our last 2 previous electric kettles had a flip up lid, which ended up breaking and then would no longer shut. This resulted in the kettle not stopping when it was heated up so if you weren’t paying attention it would keep boiling and fill the room with condensation.)Con: The only thing I did not like about this kettle is the lip around the rim stops anything that you might want to dump out of the kettle, like lime scale or if you’re like us and boil eggs in it occasionally, sometimes there’s little floaties that you can’t dump out. I usually have to wipe them out.
