Great material good fit easy care

I have bought these to wear during my summer digging season as an archaeologist. They fit well and and feel comfy and cool but....after a month of wear I'm seeing little cuts and tears in thefabric and they are coming apart at the seams. I have to move around an lot as an archaeologist and these are not likely to last until the days get cold enough for my usual work trousers.

When the lower leg parts are attached, I find it difficult to lift my knee too high when hiking. The problem is the position of the zip seam. It should be an inch or two higher to be comfortable.It needs a belt. Once you start sweating, the waist expands and the trousers start falling off unless you use one.

Arrived quickly and without fuss, there were a couple of extra loose threads (found two so far while wearing them) but on the whole they are great. The material is breathable, light and thin but still sturdy enough for work wear in a hot warehouse all day. the zip section hides well both as shorts or trousers, the pockets are large enough and well lined for regular use. The one downside I found (probably personal preference) is that the back pockets use a double Velcro patch which makes taking and replacing a wallet less nimble than I'm used to, usually falling closed while I'm paying for something and without two hands free to open it again the process is quite a juggling act. The ladies -my other half had a pair too- has a single rear zip pocket which would have been preferable to the double Velcro double pocket and I'm considering buying women's despite the understated pink highlighting and reversed button side.Other than that Velcro niggle I love them, the lack of a short leg section was easily remedied with a little home sewing on the detatchable legs.I will be buying more for the summer days stuck in a busy warehouse, but using them out of work for the comfort and many pockets.

I always wear cargo trousers, I like something that is fast drying, versatile, etc. these trousers are very comfortable but they fall apart very quickly. All the stitching came apart after a few months, crotch, pockets, etc. the Velcro on the rear pocket (wallet) is rubbish. Wish I could score higher but the quality is very very poor. Avoid.

These are good pants. I use them when spearfishing in the summer. Full pant legs when diving. Shorts on the ride home drying out.
