These have a plastic cap on the bottom
They're smaller than they look and the plastic cap on the bottom seems unsafe. I'm not sure how the plastic cap won't melt while burning candles in them. The hole for securing the candle is too big for chime candles and the whole lantern is too short for coach candles. Disappointed.

Works good. Flimsy construction, but did the job when my power went out.

Broken glass everywhere
Upon opening both boxes with no apparent damage, broken glass rained out. Somehow the lens in both items was shattered into fine pieces. I ended up with a lap full of glass and had to dig glass out of my fingers. Be careful. Would send back, but am POed at this time.

I bought some 3-in candles, and they would not fit in these very little lanterns.
