These microfiber rollers are very comparable to the popular brand that begins with w, except they are a quarter of the price. I prefer using microfiber for the fact they shed less and seems to hold more paint.

I haven't gotten the chance to use these quite yet, but I opened a couple of packages and couldn't find any loose fibers so they appear great to me. I have pretty much my whole interior house to paint as my wife want's to shift some rooms over to a light grey. Good news is that since our kids are grown, we can paint many of the walls in a flat sheen. Exceptions being made of course for the bathrooms and the kitchen.Best feature of these rollers is their price. While I don't believe in waste, and clogging up the landfill, it is comforting to know that if I have an extremely exhausting day and I don't want to spend the time (not to mention the water), that I won't feel wasteful if I occasionally toss one in the bin after only one use.

Most walls these days have some sort of texture to them, whether it be orange peel or some sort of plaster/mud. These roller tubes are good for those types of surfaces, but not if you want a smooth finish.As with most roller tubes, there are a significant amount of loose fibers on the rolls. You will want to take time and use a non tactile lint brush (or even just your hands) to remove excess fibers. It seems like the brown fibers are more prone to shedding, as shown in the photos. This is pretty typical and doesn't warrant a rating reduction.The tubes fit tightly on the roller and you won't need to worry about them shifting on you. The edges are relatively clean and not overly fuzzy. This is helpful when painting around corners to keep swirls off the perpendicular wall.As for the price, it really can't be beat. You will be hard pressed to find another of this quality in this price range. If you have a large project in front of you, or just want to stock up for smaller tasks, this set of roller tubes will fit your needs.
