Hillsdale Furniture Mercer Bed Set with with Rails, King, Antique Brown

The bed arrived very well-packaged and undamaged even though one of the boxes had taken a bit of a beating in transit. I took one star off for assembly as I ran into a couple of issues with the nuts and screws not cooperating and had to find a replacement for one set - bad threads. Otherwise, I was able to put it together by myself without too much fuss (and I'm a very short, age 60+ person.) A helper would have made the job go even faster, as I had to improvise a way to keep the headboard and footboard upright to get the first rail attached at both ends. I just love how this bed looks - the unique design was what really drew me to it. I like the outline of sleigh beds but not the massiveness of the usual slabs of wood. The medallions are a nice flourish. I was glad someone else mentioned here that the finish is slightly rough to the touch, so I was prepared for that - no big deal. Best of all is that this bed is rock solid. I had to get rid of our last one because my spouse flops around like a beached fish as he sleeps, and the swaying of the bed when he'd flop was truly maddening. After 2 months, so far, so good; no swaying and no sign of anything loosening. Win win - a beautiful bed and a marriage saved!

Heavy, well made bed. It looks like the pictures you see.Very stable, it doesn't creak or make noises when you are on it - at all.It took me a couple of hours to put this bed together, and is difficult (but not impossible) to do by yourself (as I did).Often when you take this bed out of the box there are areas where the finish has rubbed or where the polystyrene has rubbed a white mark. My bed had minimal issues.If you like the look of this bed, this is a good price for it. O think the bed could use some color, and more detail in the two round shields on the foot and head boards.I paired this bed with a five inch Zinio foundation. I chose the foundation you build completely ($95); but I probably should have gotten the Zinio 5" model that is complete and split and folds down which was $50 more. A 5" foundation is perfect for a 12" mattress.I'm pleased with this purchase.

I already owned this Bed in King and Cal King and loved it so much, I got the Queen and another King for our other Bedrooms. The metal is sturdy and heavy, not cheap or light. Was able to get the near rock-bottom prices for it on Amazon with no issues or fuss. Previously scoured the internet for lowest price for the Cal King and had a run-in with shady distributor that refused to include the Rails even though we paid for them. Had to write the Attorney General to get that resolved. We took no chances this time and ordered through Amazon and could not be happier. Delivered as described in Perfect Condition.

At the time of this posting, we have had this bed for roughly three months supporting a latex mattress. We are very pleased with it--it is heavy and feels solid/sturdy--no wobbling or creaking so far. I was mildly surprised at the finish, as I was expecting it to be smooth, but it is actually a very finely textured finish. It is not rough per se, but is textured just enough to collect (and display) skin flakes if one rubs against it with dry skin. Overall, I am very happy with this bed and would recommend it to others interested in this style.

I freaking love this bed!!!! But make sure you have a large enough room for the King size because it is a HUGE bed!!! It is very sturdy and very very heavy!! It completely accents my room just the way I intended it to. The picture makes the metal look like it has a slight luster or shine to it but it does not AT ALL!! That would be my only gripe but other than that, I would purchase this bed all over again! It did come with a dent in the headboard that was barely visible but I was compensated accordingly for that. GET IT!!!

The seller is not. Bed showed up 2 weeks early. We had a scheduled date of delivery. I guess that doesn't mean anything to them. The box the bed frame was in was totally destroyed. The bed was too heavy for the weak packaging. Even the delivery company was surprised of the shipping container used. Good thing the bed is solid. The item did make it in one piece with all it's parts. The product is good.

We first saw this bed in a store and knew it was ours. The style is really appealing with the side rails and overall appearance. This bed looks even better in our room with the homemade quilt on it.After looking at all the different sites selling this bed we noticed Amazon had it for as low priced as anyone. With the free delivery from Amazon Prime we had, even this special delivery, our bed within about 10 days.

Have had the Queen for a week now - I love it.It's as steady as a ROCK.
