Best of a niche market…I’ve tried them all
I experience night terrors if I don’t have some other stimulation to my brain while I’m sleeping. I usually use a tv show like king of the kill that has moderate to calm talking tones throughout. No music no white noise etc. I am a side sleeper with a heavy head so I was looking for something to comfortably fit in my ears and that I wouldn’t take out in my sleep. These so far have been perfect, minimal sweating in the ears even, which has really impressed me. I used AirPods Pro’s for years but I was limited to one side of my head at a time. The battery life is great, I charge them a couple times a week. There are some connection issues at times but I usually just put them back in the case and restart to resolve it. They are ultimately worth the price because there aren’t any competing products that fit the ear like this.

I like them
They fit comfortably. They do block outer noise well. It can automatically go into sleep mode when it notices you fell asleep watching something then it will play the sleep sound choice you pick. If you choose not to do that it will just play whatever you are watching or listening to instead. My only issues are the app is a bit irritating trying to figure out where to go. Individual sounds are under “static” instead of the button being names something that tells you there are multiple sounds to choose once pressed. They need to create an actual button to press for connecting once you put them on. Right now you click the small words “not connected” to make them connect. When you wake up they will say not connected again but they have been working all night. I sometimes have to place them back in the case and back in my ears to connect and have it sync how my sleep did. Wearing and connecting is the only way to access the toggle for sleep mode on and off, alarms, and controls. It would be nice to have this screen as an option across the bottom at all times. Sleep history tells you awake time, light sleep and deep sleep, how many times you woke up, how many times you turned, and what position you slept in by percentage. This comes to my other issue. It says I've slept “prone”, which is on your stomach, and i so not ever sleep on my stomach. So it is mistaking a side sleep for a prone position sometimes.Ive also reached out to them and asked them to have the sound section be more accessible for the visually impaired since my blind father would like to get some. Currently they sounds say “button” when he uses voiceover instead of rain or stream etc. The rest of the app is fairly accessible and the AI sound options will work with voiceover.

Once I figured out how to “override” an issue they’re great!
I sadly had to replace my Bose sleep earbuds because they died and Bose doesn’t make them anymore, so after some exhaustive research I found that these were highly recommended…so I bought them. When I first got them I loved the fact that they came with several different sizes for the ear pieces to fit in my ear. I didn’t care for the sound choices as I felt they were limited and you can hear an audible loop, but I played around with it for a bit and found a combination that worked for me.The problem I kept running into over the first couple of weeks was that if I hit the side of them with my hand they would stop (a feature I think I remember reading, and somehow I figured out how to turn off that feature) OR after about an hour they would revert to one of it’s automatic rain sounds that I didn’t particularly care for because of that very audible loop. BUT I was able to find a work around that has worked amazingly ever since the first night I tried it! As long as I set the sleep timer (the max is 8hrs) my desired sound won’t stop and I can sleep mostly uninterrupted at night. (It still can’t help me with my dog kicking me at night, but at least it drowns out her snoring along with my husband’s!)

Still hurt my ears and their app is terrible.
Slept with them for two nights before returning them. Each night I took them out halfway through because I'd wake up to go to the restroom and my ears were hurting. No matter how I arranged my head, they'd hurt. They didn't block out any noise. They only mask noise. They did a good job with the masking.. except that their App and default settings (that cannot be overridden) are absolutely terrible and provide a horrendous user experience. Let me explain:1. When I take the headphones out of the case and put them in my ear, I do NOT want you to automatically start playing my preferred white noise instantly. Let me choose when to turn that on.2. Power usage can be an issue since it's intended to be on all night, so they implement something special that only monitors the bluetooth channel and plays noise locally from the headphones themselves. While this seems like a great thing, it's actually quite terrible. What if I get an emergency text or phone call? Well, if I do, it causes my phone to make noise through its speaker.. and I will NEVER hear that because I'm wearing noise masking headphones. I cannot hear those phone calls or texts. My Ring cameras? I'll never get those notifications and never know that someone's breaking into my house... See #3, though.. because this power 'solution' is actually worse than it sounds, even if you don't take THAT into account..3. You can flip a setting to listen to room sound and adjust volume accordingly... I didn't have my phone plugged in overnight and it drained 75% of my battery by doing this... without this app installed I lose no more than 5% battery, even playing white noise for 2 hours through the speaker...4. You encourage me to do sleep tracking.. but if I enable it I cannot use my preferred white noise that I selected within your app???What I opted for as the best approach to using these headphones: download a free "white noise" app and use these as regular headphones via bluetooth. This allows one to hear phone calls, texts, and notifications, keeps your phone from losing its entire charge overnight, and... well.. you'll have to uninstall the Soundcore app as well.. uninstalling it keeps it from automatically flipping your headphones OUT of bluetooth mode and automatically starting the white noise.. so that they work like regular headphones. So yeah: use them like regular headphones otherwise you get a terrible end-user experience.Product was returned. Seriously did not live up to the hype.
