Messy and wasteful of your ingredients..
I hoped to use this for a number of different things including coffee beans but the main thing was to grind nuts. It's a similar to one I bought from Amazon previously for my parents (Duronic) which was great and I thought this would be similar in quality as it's a well known brand. It seemed like a great design and I love that you can detach the cups, the fact you get a spare one and that they're made from metal and not plasticHowever, the lid/cover when in use doesn't meet the top of the cup so the powdered contents, being spun while gound, spill over the top and get wasted, I found it very hard to clean this mess and it wastes your ingredients. I've returned for a refund and plan to buy another Duronic one as it seals everything as it's being ground = no mess

VERY difficult to unlock the grinding cup when first received
I seldom write reviews about products but I felt I should make potential buyers aware of how difficult it is to unlock and remove the grinding cup and then to re-install it. I bought two of these, one for me and one for my daughter and they were both the same. I do have a problem regarding grip due to arthritis in my hands but I think that even without a physical impairment it would be very difficult. In fact, I was on the verge of phoning Amazon* Customer Services to 'vent' my frustration when I thought about trying to do it wearing rubber gloves to improve my grip (*no phone number on the product info). I then managed to unlock the cup and re-install it but it was still extremely difficult and without the gloves I would not have been able to do it. (I actually hurt my hands in the process of trying.) Once removed, I put drops of Balistol [food grade] oil on the locking lugs of both cups and repeatedly locked and unlocked both of them whilst still wearing the rubber gloves. I daresay that given lots of use it will become easier but I don't think it should have been so difficult to be nigh on impossible without using oil and rubber gloves. I have NEVER had this much difficulty with any 'gadget' (and I have ALOT of gadgets). I have not yet used the grinder but after doing so I will update my review. (I hope I will eventually have something positive to say but I'm keeping the box just in case I need to return it.)

A Disapointment
I bought this to grind nuts and seeds to flour, which to be fair it did well. However the 4 blade was a disaster it managed tomatoes, onions, but couldn't do garlic or fresh herbs to a paste. It cut out when blending seeds, I didn't know if this was a fault or safety measure as it worked the next time I used it.The 4 blade completely seized up and couldn't be loosened by hand, rendering it useless. So I returned the product after 6 weeks and even less use.... I think I used it about 4 times in total. So I'm really disappointed.

Great little multi-purpose grinder
This is a very sturdy-feeling and effective grinder for coffee and nuts/spices with two detachable cups with different blades depending on what you want to grind. True coffee snobs won't like the fact that it's not a burr grinder but if you just want something cheap and well-made for a quick cafetiere grind then there's very little not to like. There aren't any settings for coarseness so it's just a push-and-go job but works well. Not tried it with nuts or spices as yet but see no reason why it wouldn't do the job perfectly adequately. Have a smoothie maker (nutri-bullet style) from the same manufacturer which has lasted well, so expecting the same level of build quality and longevity from this little guy. You would be hard pushed to find better in this price bracket.

That the cups on the grinder are very very tight. It needs someone with great strength.
I bought this item mainly for grinding my herbs fresh from the garden. I thought when opening it, it looked great, just what I wanted. But when i tried to take off the larger cup, which was already attached to the grinder, firstly I couldn't move it. Then my husband tried and his hands are bigger than mine but he couldn't move it either. Eventually, we did manage it but anyone with worse arthritis in their hands than mine just wouldn't stand a chance of removing it. Now I have eventually managed to extricate the cup it works very well. I did consider returning it but we persevered and it is fine.

Not for wet products.
While this grinder is ok for grinding dry mixes there is a fault when it comes to grinding anything containing fluid. The blades at the bottom of each cup are loose, the mechanism moves up and down and is not watertight. This means that any fluid runs out of the bottom of the cup when it's in use.Additionally the fit of the cups onto the base is very tight indeed to the point that it hurt my hands to fit and remove.Returned as unfit for the purpose it was bought for.

I can grind beans !
The instructions aren’t great , as it took me a few minutes to actually make it start, maybe some bigger close up photos would help. .But I have ground my first beans and it works !As always with these reviews , the glory of an object working clouds the judgement, and if this thing is kaput in a few months I’ll be livid. . . But for now - I’m smelling the coffee
