Better than substrate and way better than fabric
It looks like a combination of substrate and one of those fabric carpets you find at a PetSmart or a Petco Which makes it easily one of the best things you can clean and at the same time, looking very realistic at the same time.

Great option
We have 2 leopard gecko tanks. We have tried the carpet substrate in the past and found that it gets an odor very quickly. Some recommend paper towels but it just wasn’t working with our little guys. We were looking for something more “natural”. This sand mat is perfect! It is good quality and more affordable than other options. They fit perfect in the tank and lay flat within hours. They also are easier to clean and keep clean compared to the carpet substrate. Would definitely recommend!

prefect for my tortoise
this item is perfect for my tortoise. I use it as a feed mat since I don't want him consuming the wood chips I use for his general bedding. I cut a piece off and place it use his heat and uv lamps. it's VERY messy but I knew this having purchased it before but worth it. if you try and clean it you end up spraying half the sand and rock off so it's not very reusable but it's perfect for a "sunning " and eating area for my small(but growing quickly) desert tortoise.

Good mat for bearded dragon
Bought this for my daughter's bearded dragon. It's really good quality and looks really cool. Only this is its hard to clean it and get everything. When you actually wash it with the water hose a lot of the rocks come off. Great mat but I think I like the other alternatives.

Pretty to look at, while it lasts...
It's good for what it is. Basically an overpriced rubber mat with sand and pebbles glued to it. The cost loses a star, and the difficulty in cleaning it loses another. I've had mine for about a year, and there are patches where the grit has completely rubbed off. It's hard to clean, and trying to scrub it makes the sand rub off. $35 is too much to pay, because the nice-looking sand texture that you want to see doesn't last.

Nice
I love this. I cut it very easily to fit on some skinny. Shells, it's ten dollars less on here than it is in the pet stores

Looks Nd works greatn
The media could not be loaded. This thing is awesome. When we got a baby bearded dragon we did not want to start him off on a sand substrate right away, but we absolutely hate carpet and paper towel options. A lot of people use tile but we really like the natural look of sand so although these are a little on the pricey end we bought one and love it! They're easy to clean unless you're Beardie is having wet poops, and look great!they're VERY Duran soninseenit being worth the cost. There's no chance for your Beardie to get tangled in it (like carpet) or ingest it. And it holds warmth well

Great Look Desert Style Terarium
I thought this would be a great alternative to having a sand substrate. It looks great in the terarium and then I took it out and hosed it off after two weeks of being in the tank. Just normal water pressure from a garden hose and the sand started to wash off. Now there are bald spots. Great idea but lacks in quality.
