Eco wall heater - good for a small space
I have two furnaces in order to heat a large two story modern in Michigan. The gas bills for using both furnaces was pretty high. Since no one is upstairs during the day and during the night we like to keep it a little on the cool side while we sleep and then turn up the heat when we get up in the morning. I chose this unit because it was marketed as quite and uses only 400W when in operation.I ordered two of the units -one for each bedroom needing heat. They arrived quickly and packaged in both a shipping box and the retail packaging for each unit. Neither was cracked - so I am guessing that the vendor has learned from some of the other reviews. Mounting the unit was easy -though you do want to miss the studs in the wall so careful planning and stud location is a + toward making this easier. I did not do so well and ended up having to use a different drill bit to make holes in the studs to accommodate the mounts that are packaged with the unit. For a smaller area the heat is even and the unit is quiet, does not emit any bright light (small red glow from the power switch -only). It heats a 15 x 13 foot bedroom very slowly, but steadily. If you are planning to use the heater simply to warm yourself while in a room this might not be the best choice. If you are using it as supplemental heating in an area where it will be on for hours it is a really great choice. I have noticed no unusual smells - no cracking and the unit seems solidly built. I would purchase another.

Developed a Big Crack after Three Weeks of Use
Review update. The product I received from Steve Happy Store is counterfeit. I've rated the vendor accordingly. I'll likely try to find a real EcoHeater and I'll update this review.********************I've had to update the review below after it developed a big crack (picture attached) 3 weeks into use. I had registered the product with the manufacturer so my warrantee would be valid. After contacting them in Las Vegas, and 6 messages back and forth without being to establish the unit serial number (because there is none on it), they could not help me "because it was shipped from China". I'm pretty disappointed.I've sent a message to Steve Happy Store to clarify if this needs to be sent back to China or they can live with a picture of the damaged unit. I could save the shipping and they could save the disposal cost. I'll provide an update later but, at this point, I cannot give the 4 star review previously done when the unit worked.********************************Takes a while to come to full temperature but you start to feel the heat in just a few minutes. My wife uses this while she works, standing at a desk. The heater is 2-3 feet from her body and seems perfect for radiating warmth so we don't need to overheat the whole house. Some reviews report the surface temperature as a safety hazard. I used a laser thermometer and checked after warming up for 1 hour. The hottest areas were between 190 and 200F. Children and the infirm may get into trouble at these temperatures but most folks will feel the heat and move away quickly with no damage. The ceramic material seems fragile. I was careful when installing. The install kit comes with everything including a drill bit. The holes are not symmetrical. I wish they had been because match drilling the wall would be easier with the unit outside in. It took me about an hour to install. At first turn on my wife briefly smelled an odor. I smelled nothing so any odor generated at startup is subtle and temporary. There was a safety sticker on the outside I removed but then needed to wipe with acetone to clean off extra adhesive. I will paint it soon (with acrylic latex) but have not done this yet. Read the product serial number (they call it something else) before you install because once on the wall it's hidden. If you register at the website with that serial number the warranty is 3 years. I've had this only one day. My expectation would be it lasts many years but time will tell.I don't write a lot of reviews. Considering Amazon is trying to get more legitimate reviews, and this product category has some suspicious ones, I've reported here. If the mounting holes were symmetrical I'd give it a 5 star with a caveat because I've only had it a short period of time . As a low wattage radiant heater it seems to be exactly what is needed.

Wow!
I have this in my boy's bedroom, the coldest room in the house. I was skeptical but after this morning when the pellet stove ran out, the house is down to 63 and it's 24 outside, I checked my boy's room and it's 83! (someone messed with the thermostat most people buy to accompany this) He's is a 12x15 room on the northwest corner of the house, this room sees very little late afternoon sunlight. As I said, typically the coldest room of the house. Impressed this thing heated kept the room that warm even with the door opened. Only been about 10 days so I have the electric bill to look at, but my wife says at full power all day it's only costing us $0.03/day. So if that's true and this thing lasts...I'll keep the 5 star rating. Oh and I'm about to order another one so I can save a little more on wood pellets. The pellet stove has been our only source fo heat for 3 years now and it does great heating the entire house, but on really cold winter nights upstairs gets cool and I go through pellets a little faster than I'd like. This eco-heater has done what we hoped it would and helped assure us removing the old oil furnace was a good idea.************UpdateAdded only $13.80 to our electric bill and it heats my son's room great! I stand by the 5 star rating. Anyone giving this anything lower than 3 is expecting too much from it and not reading/understanding the product description. It does a wonderful job, but as with any convection type heating, it does take a while for you to FEEL it. I highly suggest the thermostat you see listed with it while reading the description (Lux WIN100 Heating & Cooling Programmable Outlet Thermostat) set your t-stat in a way that is starts warming about an hour before you expect to FEEL the warmth and you will be fine.

Underwhelmed
This product throws a fair amount of heat if you are really close to it. It is hot to the touch, people with young'uns beware.Whoever claimed they heated a 300 sq foot space with it needs to pass the bong my way. I purchased it to heat a 140 sq foot space and it didn't deliver the goods. Yes, I know it is rated at 125 ft' but for the few extra feet it should have been warmer than it was, I was only trying to heat it to 67 degrees, not make a sauna.
