We've gone through 4 pumps in our fountain over a couple years. This was was excellently priced so I thought I would try it. This is the best one yet. It's quiet and powerful and this will be the one I get when I have to reorder. Of course we've only had it for a few weeks. If it fails or encounters any problems I will revise my review.

This pump was not only very reasonably priced, but it works very well in my outdoor water fountain. I had paid $15.99 last August, but the new, higher price must be due to Trump's tariffs.

The media could not be loaded. Nice pump. Certainly more powerful than the one we replaced. Let’s see how long it lasts :) It took a while to determine the flow. The water pressure appears to be set at one level and then, a short time later, the flow would decrease. The relaxing sound that the fountain produces barely covers the sound of the pump. If you are near the fountain, you can definitely hear the hum. The plug was almost too large to fit into the fountain’s inner pipe.

This pump has almost "industrial" pumping power. I was surprised!

I have an outdoor water fountain and from time-to-time I have had to replace the pump. I have consistently replaced it with a GROWNEER 550GPH Submersible Pump 30W Ultra Quiet Fountain Water Pump, 2000L/H, with 7.2ft High Lift, 3 Nozzles for Aquarium, Fish Tank, Pond, Hydroponics, Statuary Black. In past purchases the pump came with a heavy-duty power cord with 3-prong plug. The new pump I ordered ca M e with a light-weight power cord with a 2-prong plug. For an electrical device that is both submersible in water and exposed to the outdoor element, I found this "change" in construction to be very disappointing. The next time I need a new pump, I will shop around for a better cord.

Bought this to replace a fountain pump that died. The former pump was the same 550 gpm as this that I got to replace it.The upside is that this is super quiet and very, very strong.The downside is that despite turning the flow adjustment knob, the flow strength stays very, very strong.Water splashes everywhere outside my fountain and within hours, the pump starts to make a gurgling sound indicating that the water level has dropped too low.I took the pump out of my fountain and sat it in a 5gal bucket to test. I removed the tubing from the output valve, and measured the stream strength and height on high flow, med flow and low flow. There is literally just about an inch or two difference in vertical stream spray when on high vs when on low.I even bought a separate flow adjustment nozzle and inserted it between the pump and the tubing.This worked great for about a day. The next day I noticed the water stream was flowing strong again and when I checked on it, I found that the water strength flowing through the flow-control was strong enough that it pushed the valve back to the full open position.Yes, this pump is strong.For my use in a small-ish outdoor fountain, this results in way too much splash outside the fountain and well basin which drains the well within several hours.If your fountain or pond is large enough that overspray won't deplete your water level and you're looking for a strong, silent pump, this one's for you. Unfortunately my fountain is too small and this didn't work for me.
