I installed this on an outdoor outlet I use to power my Ring cameras and Govee lights. The old setup was exposed and looked messy — this cover instantly made it safer, cleaner, and weatherproof.Installation was super straightforward. It comes with multiple faceplate options (I used the duplex one), a gasket, and clear instructions. I had to snap off one of the plastic knockouts to fit my heavy-duty extension cord, and it handled it perfectly. The power cord must traverse thru the box in a way that allows the user to close the box tightly. The molded plastic box is designed with a few potential cord openings so that the user can choose the best configuration for his set up. Once you choose the opening(s) that work(s) for you, you have to remove the small plastic piece covering those portals. A simple hole puncher worked great for removing the plastic, without damaging the box itself. The hole puncher didn't punch a hole, but grabbed the plastic firmly so that it could be bent gently back and forth until it easily tore off. If your hands aren't very strong, (I'm a senior female), you might struggle to get the flip cover attached to the box. I was ultimately able to do it, but it wasn't easy. it might be a good idea to try to install the box with the cover already attached, or at least practice installing it before screwing in the box. The whole process took about twenty minutes after watching the videos. It would have been faster if I had had a power screw driver. Would recommend this product.

This cover works well, once installed. The trick is to just barely start the device screws and then slip the proper insert over the screws, and then tighten each screw gradually. Make sure the screws stay in the keyhole slots until fully tightened. I like the fact that it is not as deep as other covers, and does not obstruct passage. Works horizontally or vertically.

I looked at quite a few weatherproof covers for external outlets and decided to try this one based on price and reviews. You can use this cover for vertical or horizontally mounted outlets. It comes with everything you need to mount this on an external outlet with either a GFCI outlet or a regular outlet. There look to be more robust covers available but I think this one is definitely one that I will be buying again in my landscape lighting business.

This outdoor power cord and outlet box are well made, should easily withstand weather and they work well.Nicely made, I will buy more!

Perfect for the screened patio! We plugged a fan into a socket but it's next to screen where rain comes in. This let's us keep fan plugged in and socket doesn't get wet. Perfect!

The instructions say to snap the cover on. With tremendous force I got the left side on. The right side I had to hold the inside of the gray piece to keep from bending and hit the cover with a mallet to get it to go on. It worked, but not easily.
