I have had chapped lips all my 60+ years. And I have tried probably 60+ products searching for relief. This CeraVe healing ointment is the best product I ever used for healing my lips. It has a consistency similar to petroleum jelly. It's great for other dry skin if you don't mind the thick, slick texture. I originally received a couple of sample containers. Now that they are empty, I purchased this 12 oz. container for refills. I would have been happier with a container less than 12 oz. But it will not go to waste.

I am so amazed by how fast this cleared up my baby’s dry irritated skin. My 3mo old had a bad case of cradle cap that then turned into terribly chapped peeling skin that spread to his entire face. We tried everything and his skin only got worse, we were so stressed out trying to find things to soothe his skin we tried aquaphor, breast milk, and a number of other baby lotions that didn’t work. After taking him to his pediatrician he recommended this healing ointment and I am so happy he did. We noticed results the next morning his skin started to clear up and felt smooth as ever. These pictures are 3 days apart the first one being the first application with this ointment. He still has just a bit of redness on one of his cheeks and a little dry patch on his forehead but the difference is amazing. I believe there is a baby version of this ointment but the pediatrician said to get this one specifically so that’s what we went with. I will always have this stuff in my baby bag from now on it’s amazing!

I’ve been using the 12 oz jar of CeraVe Healing Ointment for years, and I always keep one around. My hands and feet get really dry in the winter—especially the backs of my heels—and this helps a lot. It’s thick enough to stay on and protect the skin, but not overly greasy. One jar lasts a long time, so it’s also a good deal.I also use it on small cracks or scrapes, and it helps them heal faster. It’s gentle, has no scent, and just does what it’s supposed to do.If you prefer more natural options, shea butter is another good choice—just a bit oilier. And if your hands are really dry, try applying this before bed and wearing cotton gloves. You’ll wake up with soft, smooth hands.Simple, reliable, and worth having around—especially during the colder months.

I don't leave many reviews however, this is a time to do so. I didn't take before and after pics unfortunately but I had severe dyshidrotic eczema on my hands and wrists. I had this once before and nothing helped except getting a steroid cream from my doctor. CeraVe healing ointment started healing just as little as two days and in four days this eczema was almost completely gone!! I am shocked on how fast it works! Yes, it is a little oily like vaseline leaves however, it does aborbs eventually. It is so hydrating and I am just so happy I don't have to use a prescription steroid to get rid of this crap. This will be my new go to in my medicine cabinet!

FINALLY !!!!! I have very sensitive skin and rosacea-prone (burning, flaky, itching, red). This ointment is long-lasting, works well with make-up, soothes the redness, is SO hydrating, AND the best part- it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. It also doesn’t feel like I’m clogging my pores which is a huge plus! 4 stars because it is very very greasy, though greasy to me just means that it’s very soothing for my flaking skin. I might just have to use less :)I highly recommend!!!

My face was getting red and skin rash. I tried putting coconut cream on. I tried alo vera cream. Nothing seemed to take care of the issue. I researched and self-diagnosed my issue as being rosacea, a skin condition. I put that into the Amazon search bar and found this cream. It arrived in the afternoon, I applied a heavy dose then, and again before bed. In the morning, the condition had improved immensely. The redness was almost gone and the rash had improved. I used a lighter coating three times the next day and the following day it was virtually gone. I love this cream. Very thick, and it works. Hope it does the same for you.

This ointment works wonders for my son’s dry, irritated skin. It keeps his eczema patches moisturized and calm without any irritation. A must-have!
