I’m glad I read the reviews before purchase, because true to them this sand is absolutely filthy. I washed and rinsed it through about 20 times before the water started to run clear.Having said that it’s great value for money and 1 bag filled the bottom of my tank for my axolotl. It’s a nice beachy colour and extra fine which is just what I was looking for.

I used one and a bit bags for the bottom of a 60 liter tank it's didn't go cloudy and my corydoras love it. i washed it first

Good bright but not white natural looking sand. Quite dusty so needs a few rinses in a bucket before putting in your aquarium.

I did give this a good rinse before adding to my fish tank. It did make the water Cloudy for an evening but by the next day it had settled.Cleaning is easy and seems good quality for the price. Overall happy and the fish seem to like it.One bag gave a nice deep coverage of an 80L tank

I poured the sand into a bucket half full of water 2 days before I was doing aquarium water change.Emptied and cleaned aquarium tank and drained water from bucket with sand in. Then put the sand into aquarium WET and levevelled to about an inch thick. Then put my pet turtles ornaments onto sand base. I carefully poured the new water into the tank gently onto top of the turtles cave house, so not disturbing the sand. I turned on the filter pump which did disturb the sand a little, but after redirection of the pump nozzle, stopped moving the sand.The water was absolutely clear within one hour.Will definitely be buying more of the sand for the pond we have in back garden.
