My son is non verbal autistic and has eloped on me twice in April so I bought this and it was weird at first in public with it but it was for his safety great quality the design and comfortable my son would look for it so we can go outside it is durable. And easy to remove plus doesn’t weight but handles my sons strength lol.

Best In Class!
The first selling point that jumped out to me when I was perusing the market for child harness apparatuses was the fact that this rig does not place any pressure on sensitive areas like the stomach and groin. That significant attribute seems surprisingly overlooked in the majority of harnesses today, which leads me to believe that the market itself is rather undeveloped, but the future is looking bright. Now, you may or may not be hesitant to utilize a child-safety feature such as a this. Fear not, my friends. Much as the supply side has a few kinks to work out, so too does the demand side. Was Karl Benz's first attempt at the automobile a slam-dunk? Probably not. Were citizens of the late 1800's clamoring for self-driving cars? No. But, while all the horse and buggy merchants were sniggering and scoffing, he kept at it; sprinkle in a little Henry Ford and look where we are now. Don't let a few judgmental gazes hinder your commitment to top-of-the-line retention options.Obvious comfort and safety benefits to the child aside, let's look at the positive externalities. Right up on top of the packaging, I'm sure you see "Keeps your child at a safe distance!" Now we're talking! Safety for everyone? Sign me up. Also, this treasure just keeps on generating positive returns because it's adjustable up to a 25.5" torso. Incredible! I'm 6'2'' / 195 lbs and that's almost half the size of my chest. I don't know what kind of crazy growth spurts your kid will hit, but conservatively speaking, you're probably covered until age 12 depending on gender. After eagerly tearing open the packaging like a kid on Christmas, you'll notice that this harness comes with a wrist strap. While adjustable in length and better than nothing, it is unfortunately no more than some rope. This, as we all know, is a huge inconvenience. What happens if you just want to tether your kid in the living room during halftime while you freshen up beverages in the kitchen? I'll tell you: junior suddenly has 30-45 inches + wingspan of free ranging terror. That may not sound like much, but you tell me how convenient it is when you come back in at the start of the 3rd quarter to find the entire party platter of nachos wiped clean and what's left of the salsa coagulating on the newly upholstered sofa. It just won't work, so throw it away and get yourself a stout retractable dog leash. Anything rated for dogs up to 100 pounds should be good - chances are good your child won't outgrow the harness or the leash too quickly.

Keeps them from running off
I bought this because my almost three year old is a runner! We were going camping near a river and there was an event going on. Because we were carrying backpacks and also our one year old, if he had bolted my wife and I probably wouldn’t be able to catch him. This strap worked great for keeping him close by. He only pulled it and fell a couple of times before he realized that he wasn’t going anywhere and just naturally walked at my side. I used the clip to attach it to my belt more than using the handle, which was only really used when we were loading up in the truck or going back into the camper. I really liked the adjustable length because I could keep him really close when walking through the event tent and also could extend it long enough that he could sit in the chair next to me at the dinner tables without having to take it off him. I really wish that I would have bought one for my second son because he was a runner as well, and I might have taken him to do more things if I could have kept him secure. My only complaint is that after a while the shoulder strap adjustment sliders start to loosen up and you need to tighten them back down. Luckily the chest strap Velcro was nice and secure and I never felt like he was about to escape from the harness.

Effective but falls apart quick.
This worked well for our Disney trip, but the Velcro started to pull the fibers of the harness apart—still functional, but looks awful.

Worth it
My kid (2 1/2 yrs) is a runner and adventurer. They’d go off and do their own thing in the store if they could. This keeps them snug and secure close by. I LOVE it. They think they have freedom, but they’re safe. It’s compact I can easily bring it in a bag anytime

I really like this safety harness
I really like this safety harness. It's a basic harness for a good price. This is the 2nd harness I've purchased and I searched for awhile online before purchasing this one since I really didn't like the 1st type of harness I purchased. I have no issues getting this onto my always squirming kiddo, the thicker chest strap seems to be more comfortable for my little one, and she doesn't seem to mind it at all. My little girl is 18 mo., 32lbs and 36" tall and is a very independent ball of energy who does not want to hold your hand and wants to do everything herself so this gives her some of the independence she wants with the safety I require. There is still plenty of room for her in this and I think she will easily be able to wear it for another year or two. I originally purchased a backpack style harness that the strap attached at the bottom of the backpack, which is a great way for you to make your child toppled over or fall backwards if you are trying to stop them from doing something they shouldn't be doing, along with the fact that my kiddo wanted to play with the backpack animal and not have it strapped behind her. I no longer have either issue with this one. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and happy I found it on Amazon.
