Worth paying the extra money for very sturdy

I have bought some silicone bags so I am very into re use bags. There is a lot more in this packet for your money and I have washed them out and re used. They work very well. No leakage ,wash well and I use easy peel stickers to identify content . Highly recommend.

Excellent bags

Bought to help with batching food portions. The concept is fine but the construction (which is done to improve strength hand capacity) makes it very hard to clean the bags properly for reuse, particularly in the folds at the bottom. The bags also tend to split along the zip line with only moderate use. They’re reasonable but wouldn’t buy again. Probably better for dry and solid items rather than wet food like sauces which tend to make a mess.

Living on my own I only need to freeze small amounts. These are just the right size for small packs of veggies, chops, mince etc, and also for keeping a small lettuce and grapes in the fridge, the odd sandwich or two, packs of herbs, pre-grated cheese, and lots more. I much prefer the Ziploc fastening, for me personally they're much easier to close with my arthritic hands than those resealable ones where both sides don't always match up. They're good strong bags, with a tight deal so they don't leak. Plus I can wash them out to be used again. Will definitely be buying these again.

Decent quality bags (as you'd hope at the relatively high price for a box of food bags) but the sizing of the quart/1 litre bags if very strange. Literally says on the box 20.5cm by 18cm. They're not, they're 20cm by 15.5cm as you'll see in the photos. Not a huge issue if you want them as food storage but I got them to use for my liquids at the airport so the smaller size will make a difference. Just wish the sizings were accurate so I could have made an informed choice and not bought them.Edit: bought a set of of 20cmx20cm, specifically intended for liquids on flights. Despite the smaller dimensions these xupzip bags hold significantly more due to the widening at the bottom. they also were cheaper and as mentioned in original review are very decent quality. So changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars as I ended using these and they were fine.
