Mine is truly a beautiful work of art
5 stars from me. When i saw it came I was too excited. I love kukris. This is my fourth technically 5th cause I gave one away to someone wanted one. Never had a Damascus one, I have a Damascus dagger and karambit. I just find Damascus fascinating. It does come with an oil coating, but anyone that knows Damascus knows the high carbon steel is prone to rust. Just wipe it off but if it’s kept completely dry for a period of time especially in a humid environment, it, will, rust. These metals and blades require care. The pattern on mine I think is just amazing. I have tried to use it, weight feels good, handle feels good in the hand, the weight, the swinging, balance, and it held up. Came with a good edge and bevel, no chips or anything and i was using it on decently hard wood. I quit after so long cause I just felt bad for swinging it cause how much I love it.For the money yes definitely worth it. Strong, dependable, good forge work and a work of art. Just requires a little extra love so she won’t rust

Another great value from this company!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It's a gorgeous, real Damascus steel kukri, blade length is about 7.5 inches, thickness is about .15 mm thick and it arrived very sharp with a decent leather sheath all for $39.95 , highly recommend this,it isn't heavy duty but it definitely will cut thru smaller brush etc ,the second knife is a type of Bowie about 8-9 inches long of blade and a wooden handle that encapsulates the tang so I'm not sure it's full tang but it also arrived very sharp and the Damascus steel pattern is stunning,it too came with a decent leather sheath and at these prices I can afford to build my collection,it appears to be about.16-.18 mm thick and instead of a choil it has a cutout that I'm not sure of its purpose,it will make a great self defense knife or for hunting or skinning game ,just remember to keep all Damascus steel knives oiled up especially in humid areas and never store them in the sheath unless absolutely necessary,I have display racks for my knives

Nice looking knife
Just got the knife . It wasn’t very sharp but I put a nice edge on it in just a couple of minutes . The sheath seems quality but isn’t practical for a bushcraft situation and it quite ugly . I will make my own . I’ll let you know more after I know more .

Exactly as depicted
fine craftmanship coming out of Pakistan - Thanks! The Layer work is not masterwork but at this price point it's extraordinary. The finish of the tang, burl wood grip finish, guard, and pommel show this is a durable well-crafted and nearly collector quality piece. Highly recommended, I was surprised pleasantly when I opened the amazon package and saw what I saw, exactly.

Waste of money and my time
Do not buy this unless you want to completely regrind new edge bevels. Was not sharp out of the box, had a 45 degree grind on the edge that could barely chop anything let alone simply cut paper. The whole edge is actually crooked, not the blade itself which isn't warped at all, just the edge, effectively making it impossible to get clean cuts through anything. And as I've stated, there is no symmetry between edge bevels, each one was ground at inconsistent angles which is what resulted in the crooked edge to begin with. And if you're expecting the false edge to actually be sharpened, then you are mistaken. Oh and the sheath it came in was clearly meant for an entirely different knife as this one literally slides right out of the sheath if it's not held literally straight up and down, and it's made out of absolute crap leather too, that sucks the moisture from the air. Seems like this sort of quality control is fairly common at Poshland Knives, if the reviews of all there other products on Amazon are anything to go off of.If you want a pattern-welded steel knife that actually performs the functions of a knife, straight out of the box, for a more affordable price, then take a look at KnifeKing on here. The knife I ordered from them was shaving sharp out of the box, was gorgeously polished, has absolutely no imperfections with the blades (no cracks/warps/crookedness), and most importantly didn't start to rust after a couple of days sitting in its sheath.
