May be the best omega-3 supplement I have taken!
These omega-3 soft gel capsules aren’t actually soft. They are firm, they don’t smell, and they have no fishy aftertaste – no aftertaste at all (even though they claim to be lemon-flavored). They are actually slightly smaller pills than other fish oil gel-caps I’ve taken, but you have to take 3 for a single serving. Thankfully they are easy to swallow. These contain a high potency, good ratio of 1200mg EPA and 900mg DHA. The fish oil complex is sourced from bass, flounder, cod or tuna.Evogen is a USA company with products manufactured in GMP certified facilities. Fun-fact I discovered from my google-search on the company - the founder is elite champion body-builder coach, Hany Rambod, who got his start formulating nutritional supplements with premium quality ingredients in the right combinations and ratios, with no fillers or additives, and that are bio-available. Hey – if it’s good enough for his clients that have won over 20 Olympia titles, then it’s good enough for me lol

No fish smell
These dont have a fishy smell and are easy to swallow. Im not sure where the lemon flavor comes from because it definitely does not taste like lemon. Other than that they are great.

90 soft-gels, 30 servings of Omega-3 Fish Oil. 1200mg EPA and 900mg DHA per serving
This bottle of, “Omega” from Evogen contains 90 soft-gels, with each serving being 3 soft-gels, so 30 servings per bottle. From the looks of things as described on the bottle, this appears to be fish oil is of good quality. Each 3 soft-gel serving contains 3,000mg of Fish Oil Complex, with 1200mg of it being EPA, and 900mg of it being DHA. The suggested serving is to take 3 capsules at once with 16 ounces of water. Myself, I prefer to spread out my intake of fish oil throughout the day, so I take 2 or 3 soft-gels total throughout the day. Each soft-gel contains 400mg of EPA and 300mg of DHA which is still a decent amount of EPA and DHA.These Soft-gels are of typical size for fish oil soft-gels and I found them easy to swallow. The soft-gels also digest well, I didn’t encounter fishy burps or anything. So far, so good. No complaints!

Costly For Fish Oil But Decent Product
For the cost of $35 for a one-month supply, this is a costly supplement. The serving size is 3 supplements per day but, because of its cost, I am only taking one per day.Since the recommended daily amount of fish oil is between 1000-2000mg per day and this product provides 1000mg per pill, I still feel I am getting the benefit needed for my own heart health. The supplements are rather large (almost all fish oil pills are) but thankfully, they don’t seem to have any nasty smell or odor to them. These types of pills can cause burping, bloating and indigestion so I recommend to take only one per day anyway because of that side effect. If you feel you need to take more and are new to these supplements, I would suggest building up slowly so your body can adjust. You also want to take these supplements with food and lots of water so it can be absorbed well (fish taste coming back up on you is horrible). This is a good quality supplement but you can find comparable products cheaper on this website or your local grocery or health food store. Because of that, I am only giving the product 3 stars.

Overpriced, with no third party testing or COA as proof of content
As someone who is always looking to improve my heart health, I was interested in trying this omega-3 supplement. We all need Omega-3 as an essential oil that our bodies cannot produce, so we have to consume foods that contain this. I get most of mine from fish such as salmon, and sometimes from seeds and nuts. I sometimes don’t get a chance to eat fish or nuts, so I supplement my diet with fish oil that contains Omega-3. Evogen’s Omega 3 Fish Oil provides a dose of 3000mg, 1200mg EPA and 900mg DHA per serving. Unfortunately, these quoted values are for a serving size of 3 capsules, making this bottle a one month supply.Besides having to take 3 capsules to get the recommended dosage, the biggest problem I see with this supplement is the lack of transparency in both the label and the company website. They do not specify how and where the supplements are made and if they were third party tested. At a minimum, they need an eGMP certification, third party testing and provide a COA. As long as the independent lab certifies what is on the label is what you are getting, and there are no traces of undesirable elements like pesticides and heavy metals, the supplement should perform the same as a competing product with the same ingredients in the same concentrations. This is especially important for Omega-3 supplements, where mercury can be a concern.Between the lack of any testing or certifications and the dosage problem, it can be a bit of a gamble to try these. For the price they are charging, they need to be more transparent, and providing a COA from a reputable lab would be a good start.

Omega-3 is a daily staple for me
I rotate through a LOT of dietary supplements, addressing things such as anti-oxidants, vision, joint health, and so forth. But THE ONE supplement I take EVERY morning is Omega 3 (for cardio and general body health). This Evogen product recommends a 3 softgel daily dosage, which would deliver 3000 mg total Fish Oil, 1200 mg EPA, 900 mg DHA. (Personally, I consider that a bit heavy and choose to take only two softgels per day). No fish burps or other side effects. And the labeling indicates that the fish is sourced from bass, flounder, cod, or tuna . . . all of which are compatible with my kosher-like diet. Made in USA. Has GMP seal.

High quality fish oil without the fish burps.
These pills are large but coated to be easy to swallow. I have no problem drinking these daily. The coating also provides a lemony taste so there are no fish burps and instead burp a lemon taste. They don't upset my stomach like other supplements, and I feel good getting my Omega's in.
