Worthy investment!
Well presented in a colourful, illustrated “box set” My grandson loves the stories - a huge improvement on playing games on his Nintendo - and they’re helping his reading no end. The books themselves are well illustrated too, and excellent value for the money. A worthy addition to a grandson’s out of class education.

Reliving our childhood
Me and my partner wanted a set of books that we could read to our daughter that reminded us of our childhood. Great selection of books and perfect for what we wanted. Bonus they are in a little box to keep them tidy

Lovely timeless set but not the kindest of story telling versions
I bought this collection when my baby was born and he is almost two. He gravitates towards this box, though doesn't have the patience to sit through an entire story. These are the long version of the fairy tales so have to speed through with my own version. I bought the collection as I had found memories of lady bird books as a child. What I'm surprised about are the harsh endings in these stories. I don't remember them being so scary or cruel! We read the first half of the ugly duckling yesterday and I was very disappointed with the cruel bullying by the other characters! Chicken licken... wow harsh ending!

Magical Stories for Children
I bought this collection of Ladybird children’s books for my Grandson who is five, I’m sure he will get as much pleasure from listening to the stories and later reading them as his mother did when his age. I remember them well! Ideal gift and as described by the seller

Bought as grandparents for three year old tried and tested material even I can remember them.
Bought for our three-year-old grandson who is going on leaps and bounds. Tried and tested material which even I can remember! Daughter-in-law little bit concerned initially as his school he will eventually go to have repeatedly told parents to wait until they go to school to learn to read as they are using phonics and you will confuse them. However she now sees that these books are fun reading and the children unconsciously learn the most used 100 words. Let’s hope we are not in too much trouble as grandparents. Oh well😀
