20 years shelf life！BH-590 Oat energy bar, Emergency Food Ration, Compressed wheat bar, outdoor survival food storage, Vegan(250g/bag)

I will preface this by saying that the taste leaves a lot to be desired. These bars taste like super dry powdery crackers. BUT, I am giving it a 5/5 because it meets all my criteria for what constitutes good emergency food. If I have to dig out emergency food, then I am in a situation where I am just trying to stay alive, at which point I have bigger problems than my food not tasting great. Not only do these things have amazing shelf life, they are ultra compact and they have a far more robust nutritional index than many competing products from other brands that are frankly just lumps of shortening and sugar with little to no actual nutrition.

Good value for the money, lots of nutrients, good quality, not dry, but also didnt eat yet, saying it for any emergencys, Hopefully it will taste good

Now, I purchased these out of curiosity of what these really taste like. The price was much lower than other emergency survival bars so I took a chance.I liked that they claime that these have a twenty year shelf life . This is x4 the shelf life of the typical US Coast guard approved products i.eDatrix brand (which is five years - haven't tried those either)Great outer plasticized foil vacuum packaging. The individual bars inside are tightly sealed in plastic film. After trying two small bites that's all I needed.. I wouldn't say they are unpalletable. I would say they were flavorless compressed powder that could be described as 'sandy' They are truly an item to promote survival during a disaster or Emergency but they won't make you any happier when you eat them.

Tastes great!! It's like an energy bar sized solid cracker. Slightly sweet. Low sugar.

I am putting this in my GO Bag. Not sure how it tastes but it will last awhile.

It does have the twenty year shelf life. It's packed really well and is very easy to use. To be honest it is very crumbley when you take the wrapping off . The flavor is not terrible but it's different and takes getting used to. If anyone has ever had original graham crackers, this flavor kind of makes me think of a graham cracker that was. Toasted . It has that sort of hint of flavor. If your packing for camping it's worth it to get everyone familiar with it. Have some drinks on hand so nobody chokes on the crumbs. If your doing prepping then the milks and oatmilks and coconut milks that come shelf stable will be your best bet to pair with this. Like kids who like to stuff cookies in the cup of milk to eat, you will want to do that with this. Put a bar in some milk organic whatever substitute you use and get a nice mushy cookie like meal going.
